I'm interpreting that as them saying "we got your request, we understand the circumstances and we're going to do what we can"

That would be nice. It's also signed by Chicago Field Office Director so at least it made it to someone rather than the trash!

I just passed the naturalization interview this morning.  Whew.  I was soo nervous on my way to the field office. I had read somewhere that it would last two hours, but it was actually quite short, less than 30 minutes. It consisted of 3 phases: going over the N-400 form, the civics test,  and the language test. The questions asked for the civics segment were (not in the right order):

What is the supreme law of the land?

What is an amendment?

Who vetoes bills?

What is the capital of your state?

What do we show loyalty to when we say the Pledge of Allegiance?

Who did the United States fight in World War II?  (I couldn't help but chuckle a little when I heard this question)

The officer said that they would send me a letter to inform me the date of the oath ceremony.

But I think they're actually the third!  Faith38 and level3 and I'm presuming SwanX - they closed their account though.

I never seen anybody failed taking the oath. I think when you pass the interview, you can celebrate.

If I call USCIS now, will they know when my interview date is?  I'm going to likely get the interview letter in the next few days but we are going up to my inlaws in NH this weekend and the suspense will kill me if I see from USPS it was out for delivery while I am away.

Thanks everyone, and belated congrats to Faith38! Yeah, I noticed about a month ago that SwanX was ahead of me and also within the jurisdiction of the Charleston field office like me.

That was a waste of time, they said they can't see anything other than they sent it out and I have to wait and see whenever it arrives!
