Hello.Just want to share my experience .Mailed my N400 form on may 20 2017 from NYC to the Texas office, NOA date is may 30 2017 and did early biometrics on june 12 2017 still my  status didn't changed to in line for interview . So i decided to the inquiry on USICS website and that what i got on my email. 

 

 

Thank you for contacting USCIS concerning the above-referenced application. Below is a summary of what we have found and how the issue has been resolved or additional action required.

Please be advised that the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely, efficient manner that ensures public safety and national security. Your N-400 application has been properly entered in our system, but is not ready for adjudication. At this time, it has yet to be scheduled and we apologize for any inconvenience that this processing has taken. We are currently experiencing a back-log.  Please allow 60 to 90 days for a notice to be sent to you. We apologize for the delay.

We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience.

If our response does not meet your expectations, or if you believe we have not addressed your concern(s), please schedule an INFOPASS appointment to speak with an immigration officer. Please bring this notice with you.

It sucks to wait, I get that.  My status ONLY JUST changed last week from "biometrics have been scheduled" to "inline for interview" and that took 49 days alone.  Some offices are busier than others, and I was hoping to process quicker than 49 days as so many other Boston filers did it in less than a week.  Now I look back for Boston filers and I am just grateful it didn't take me 78 days like some of the filers from October of last year.

Thanks for asking. No update from either USCIS or our family so we are just staying put and waiting for things to get to be point where we have no time left but to go and spend time with him. I'm not going to bother USCIS anymore because I feel like it's just wasting their time and my energy so I'll just wait it out.

I'm also from NYC and did my bio on June 27 still waiting to be in line for interview

I should have stated that I was put in line one month prior to my 5th anniversary.  I filed my application on 5/25 and bio on 6/20.  There have been observation that USCIS will put people for in line for interview a month before the 3th or 5th anniversary date for general cases.  Mine seems to fit the observation.  Hope you will be in line soon too.  And then, the real wait begins.

im a green card holder since May 2012 so I don't fit that criteria!

Hi All,

I just returned home the interview. I pass the test but the officer said decision cannot yet be made about my application. I asked him when I was going to hear from him and he said within a month I should expect a letter. I was very nervous. I told the officer that after the interview. He said that is what happen when people come to his office...they nervous. I was not prepared for the sort of questions they asked. Anyone filling base on marriage  should prepare as if they are going for the adjustment of status interview. A bad day.

Thanks. I answered all the civic questions right. Most of the questions were on our families. Infact most of the questions were about my wife's brother and Kids!
