@rubya you shouldn't have to go to the court to get it certified.  Your local notary can do that for you.  If you're lucky like me, you sit next to 2 of them at work!

Thanks for your quick answer, no it is foreign citizenchip certificate which equivelant to birth certificate, do i need to certify it in court or translator company is enough ?

@rubya are you asking about the translated version provided by the translation company?  Are you after a certified copy of that?

 

I can ask one of the immigration folks at work about this.  I'm not 100% of what you're needing.  I do know though that a notary can't certify a copy if the original was already signed (like a legal form or something) - they can only notarize documents that are signed in their presence. So that might be where the issue is?

In China, the certificate department will translate and stamp a seal on the document. And it is accepted by USCIS. I don't know other countries. My 2 cents is that as long it's translated to English and  notarized , it's ok.
