This process is very stressful:

1- starting with worrying when they will receive and accept the application

2-As they accepted new stage will start. when they will send the fingerprints  letter.

3- thinking of day of fingerprint

4- waiting the line in interview

5- when they will have interview

6- worrying about what will happen at interview will we pass or deny or waiting the decision ..etc

7-waiting for the oath

8-passport and how we apply for it

what about question 46

Do you understand the full oath of Allegiance to the united states ?

The oath is long , do I need to read it before interview ?

It might help.  I mean, it's not that hard, kids learn the pledge at school.  They will give you a card with it written down.  It might actually be in your Civics book too.

If English isn't your first language, this might help explain some of the words for anyone else not 100% sure.

Rubya, please don't be that negative. Your process is very fast. And you don't have to be panic. Be a little more sunny, and everything will be ok.

The interviewer will not ask you to explain if you answered no. They will only ask you to elaborate if you answered yes to the set of questions that are expected to be no such as have you ever been arrested/convicted/charged etc. There is also a chance the interviewer will skip some of those questions. For example, my interviewer skipped the Nazi questions because I wasn't born at that time so it makes sense she skipped them.

For these set of questions, the interviewer will just repeat the questions and expect you to answer yes orally. They will not ask you to recite the oath. That part comes in the oath ceremony, not the interview. Interview is about going through the entire application to make sure you are eligible + passing civics & English written/reading tests. Also at the oath, from the many, many videos I have seen online, you are given a paper that has the entire oath written on it and you're just asked to read from the piece of paper. So you don't have to worry about memorizing anything except the civics answers. Since you are now waiting, I suggest you watch the several YouTube videos on simulated interviews. Of course your interview will be tailored to your application but the format will be more or less the same as what's shown on YouTube. Watching those videos and knowing what to expect gave me a lot of peace of mind. Good luck!

I remember one post not too long ago where the interviewer asked what is 'genocide' to an applicant since genocide is a word in one of the questions. So just go through all those yes/no questions and know what genocide, allegiance etc. means. Such questions are really rare but it's always good to be prepared.

Thanks cookiecat

not for me though. my case moved to in line for interview on Friday, I got email and text notifications on the same day. Then I got another text on Saturday, checked the website, nothing changed. I think it was just a duplicate text. Anyway good luck bro.
