I have seen some people are over worried. There are ton of people who also apply for Naturalization and do not know this website. They applied it, back to work, wait for it, do not count everyday like some people here. 

 

Guys please just move on, stop counting day by day and eventually you will have it in hands.

You are right ! Counting will not make things move faster .

Being on this website helps a lot too . Especially for those who are starting their  with uscis like I did in the biggining .

lawyers are expensive . I was happy to find this website since I started my 130 application and now , I am on the last step of my journey and hopefully it will work for me and for every body who is here . Being a part of this make me and others  from the same family !!!!

You can do it at anytime 

go to uscis.gov click on check status. Click on sign up and after you signed up add your case number and make sure to turn on email and text notifications on for that specific case number

If you get really bored, you could do what I did (because I saw others do it in different threads) - went back for however many months into the other groups and took all the data for my field office, and compared timelines to get averages on days elapsed between certain points in the process, NOA1 to bio, bio to in line, in line to interview etc.  Then worked out averages to help remind myself I have a long wait ahead of me!

@hopephilly where were you having problems?  If your application number has an asterix in it you should enter that, not just the number.  That was my first half asleep mistake I made.  Just doing the 0123456789, instead of NBC*0123456789 for example.
