N-400 May 2017 Filers

Congrats to all May filers who have finished their journeys. It seems like majority May filers have completed their cases. However, i file in early May 2017 and my case is still at biometrics completed stage. My FO is Kendall florida and it is about one pf the slowest in the country. All i can do is wait. Maybe another 2 months i will hear something im not sure.

I'm not familiar with these forms at all. Maybe call them and ask what is the proper way to correct the DOB.

Sorry to hear.

I read on other threads that a few cases starts to move once the year mark from filing date nears.

I'd be stuck at biometrics scheduled phase for a whole year comes first week of May. The updated time processing website for field offices (Philly in my case) says 11-15.5 months yet there are some July 2017 filers who are being interviewed this week. My best bet would be USCIS picks random cases to be delayed for quality assurance measures or something of that sort.

 

Others on other threads as well claim country of origin, N400 specifics, and other factors may play a role in delay, yet I don't buy into that. Even though my patience is thinning down, I do still believe the system to be fair and impartial.

Finally got my citizenship done today. After my interview the officer asked if I wanted to take the Oath today which my office don't normally do same day oath but because I live far away and would have to fly to Anchorage again they asked me if I wanted to take the Oath today a few hours after passing the interview. I am updating my info below and if you can update yours too. That is very helpful for others that are still waiting for an interview. Thank you for everybody for helping with this whole process.

I was looking for my name and was surprised my info isn't on here. I thought I updated it a long time ago! Haha

I finally have some progress. On April 19th, they said they scheduled me for an interview. I will wait a week or 2 for that letter.
I have a question if anybody can help me out.

1. The additional documents I need to bring (i.e proof that our marriage is bonafide, etc), will it just be statements after I 
submitted the N400 (May 2017- April 2018) or do we go all the way back to 2014? I am filing based on the 3 year rule so I guess
I need to bring plenty of evidence.

We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt Number NBC*00******* with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony. You should receive your notice within 30 days of its mailing date. Please follow the instructions in the notice. 

 

After being under stress for a few weeks .

Hey Hopephilly..Seems your and mine field office is same i.e Philadelphia. I too had my N-400 Interview today and was approved on the spot. Interview: April 11th, 2018 - Passed

Email received that oath notice has been mailed: April 13th, 2018

Oath letter received in the mail: April 16th, 2018

Oath: April 26th, 2018

Applied for passport: April 26th, 2018

Hi 

bring every thing that shows that you guys live together :

banck statements ( last 3 years , only 2 statements for each month )

rent receipts

Irs taxe returns and tax accounts for the last 3 years .

any trip you made together .

do not miss a thing , they do not always ask but in my case, they asked me for the tax accounts and the payments that we made ( I was on payment plan with IRS )

Same here. I sent out service request via myuscis tools menu under Notice Wasn't delivered and called the 800 number to speak with a L2 rep. None yielded any results. My local office -Philly- seems to get N400 processed within 9 months. But the newly designed  uscis website pilot claims 11-15 months for naturalization.  Asking a congressman or the uscis ombudsman  to intervene when out of processing time frame may help. But until then, there's very little to nothing we can do. Remaining positive is the only thing helping for now.
