Hello every one ,

@Booze&Blues

i had my interview today , passed the civic test.

the IO was very nice , he asked me if I pay taxes , I said yes then if I owe taxes so I said yes as well .

he asked what year ? I said 2016 and I have  him the document witch prove my last payment then when he asked for 2016 tax return transcript witch I had thanks Gid ! Then the IRS letter  of the installment agreement , I did not have it because the IRS told me that it is on it’s way so I should have it in ne next 10 days .

the IO told me that I passed the hardest part and he can not approve my interview yet until I send him the letter from the IRS ( he handed me the  requested document notice , I have a month to submit it to him )

I am not upset because he told me that once I provide the letter, he will approve my application.

So guys, please if you owe taxes and have a payment agreement , bring that document with you .

I will keep you updated when I go back to the local uscis office with the letter because the IO told me that I can just hand it to him when it arrives .

thanks to every one who helped me by informing me about this part .

So on hold until the next step !

My wife's friend had the interview on February 6th at the same office in Atlanta, yes.

The T2 officer said the case was looked at on the same day and it was approved, I hope he was right and he was sure of what he was looking at, but he sounded very confident in what he was saying and he said he had her case in front of him as he was talking to us on the phone.

Still no oath letter or change in the status on the USCIS website, please keep me posted on yours as well! Cheers!

I received an email and text this morning  10:10am saying,  We placed you IN LINE FOR OATH.

and

Another text and email 4:10pm today saying: We scheduled your Oath Ceremony for receipt NBC* XXXXXXX... We sent a notice with the date, time and location of your Oath ceremony.  If you do not receive your notice by April 11, Please go to  www.uscis.gov/e-request  to request a copy of the notice.

Is there any update in the case of your wife today?

Well done @hopephilly.

I'm terribly sorry you weren't able to wrap up your interview today, but I'm glad you only need to hand in IRS payment agreement once it arrives. Remember to copy the letter and type your name, application and A numbers on it before handing it in. Also attention it to the IO name if you have it. You're technically done really.

All the best neighbor!

Very very happy for you. I know what a relief it is.

Unfortunately, nothing new in our case here...and you interviewed exactly a week after my wife.

Nothing we can do except make an infopass appointment (already done for next friday 23) and wait and pray that something happens even before then. This is frustrating and we are feeling powerless. Our whole process has been spotless up until here with no delays, requests for evidence, or anything like that.

The good news is you are done with the hard part of the process. That is exactly what she asked me when I answerd I owe taxes and once I gave her that payment agreement she said the approved me on the spot. My oath is on April 6. Once you receive that letter just go and handle to him in person.

Good luck to you!

Yes, I even thought about what you told me previously , the hardest part is over , as soon as I get the letter in my mail box, I’ll run to the uscis building and hand it to the IO .

Congrats for the good news ! Your oath is soon so you will be done with this process for good 👍

You know I believed USCIS is working overtime at this time. Without knowing it, you will be receiving the oath letter before your info-pass.  In my case, they sent me text and email in the morning and later in the afternoon for update.  That only shows they are all working hard  to notify all applicants for the Oath taking in Atlanta.  And Im sure your wife will be one among to attend that very special event in our life, The Oathtaking Ceremony.

Sometimes each cases are assigned to different people-in-charged  in USCIS.  Its not on basis of who is who first to have the interview done.  It depends on that person looking into our cases.

I even thought I wont reached this far to be given a schedule of Oath-taking because during my interview, the officer asked for a recent bank statement which i dont have one.  Instead, i gave her new insurance policy of our cars and an AT&T Bill.  She attached everything together with my documents submitted before upon application.

Dont be sad, you will have a good news soon.

Finally I can post my update!!!! Had our interview today and it went great. Interviewer was super nice and efficient and it was a breeze to go through. It was such a huge help to have any changes to my application printed out in advance so that the interview flowed nicely.

You guys there is nothing to worry about. Have the 100 questions learned , know your application and let the officer do their thing .

Cannot wait for my oath to be scheduled and to get this done!

Thanks to you all for sharing this journey with me so far!
