Anyone with experience from Atlanta?

My wife had her citizenship interview on Feb 6th, officer told her he was recommending for approval and gave her the letter saying so. We still have not received an oath notice.

USCIS Case Status still says Interview Scheduled:

06/05/2017

We are scheduling your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , for an interview.

05/15/2017

We scheduled you for a fingerprint appointment.

05/04/2017

We received your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization

No name changes or anything strange.

My interview was finally scheduled for April 23rd I haven't got the letter yet but found out the date by calling USCIS.

Can you elaborate? Did you simply call and asked regarding your interview? If so I’m calling Monday morning lol again please elaborate on your timeframes and what you said during the call.

Hi Rafael

I got a text message and email notifying my interview was scheduled so I just called USCIS military helpline and asked if he could tell me when my interview was scheduled because my husband is getting deployed in a few weeks. He told me sometimes they can see the date sometimes they can't but he was going to check. I gave him my application # and he checked for me. If you already got a text message that you interview was scheduled just give USCIS a call and ask if they can see anything. Hope that helps!!!

Thanks for replying. We just crossed the threshold of 30 days this week. I have called USCIS and they told me they have 120 days after the interview to send an oath letter.  The thing that is aggravating my wife and I the most is that she has a friend who interviewed on the same day, and she already has received an oath letter. I spoke with a T2 officer who said her case was looked at and approved the same day of her interview, hope he was right.

I went ahead and made an infopass appointment, since it only lets you book one for 2 weeks from today. If it arrives by then, we will cancel the appointment.

120 days?  Wow thats a long time to wait. So if thats the case we will be expecting the letter around May or June? We might end up having the oathtaking on July 4th.

Is the friend of your wife had her interview here in Atlanta too?  Me too will feel the same if that happens.

The paper that the USCIS officer gave me was showing A). CONGRATULATIONS! Your application is recommended for approval. At this time, it appears that you have established your eligibility for naturalization. If final approval is granted, you will be notified when and where to report for the Oath ceremony.

So if the T2 officer said, her case was looked at and approved the same day of her interview, does that mean me and your wife’s application is still hanging for approval? :(  Hope not.

Please let me know any update of your wife’s case since our interview date was not that far and we are in the same field office, ATLANTA.

Hey, officially they have 120 days to send the oath letter. But I checked my case yesterday and it now says that they mailed my oath letter yesterday. Had my interview on 2-27-18 NYC field office. Hang on and maybe you will get the letter soon.

@Lela37.  Happy for you that you will be having your oathtaking ceremony soon. Maybe its a case to case basis depending where you’re service center at.  In your case, less than a month after your interview, you will be receiving your oath letter.  Im sure you are excited.

My wife's friend had the interview on February 6th at the same office in Atlanta, yes.

The T2 officer said the case was looked at on the same day and it was approved, I hope he was right and he was sure of what he was looking at, but he sounded very confident in what he was saying and he said he had her case in front of him as he was talking to us on the phone.

Still no oath letter or change in the status on the USCIS website, please keep me posted on yours as well! Cheers!
