FINALLY DONE!  :jest::D  Husband had his oath ceremony today. He is finally a citizen. So much relief right now. Going to get his passport ASAP because we love to travel and now we can visit more places now he’s a citizen. So excited. He is a proud American! Yay!

 

@laufine glad to see you have your interview date so by March you will also be done. Very exciting!

Hello guys! I decided to proceed with my coming interview instead of going home for the birthday of my mom on Feb. 12.  My interview date will be on Feb.13.

Im suppose to be going home Feb.8 - 22.  Talked with my mom and she said go for it. We will catch up some other time soon after all this visa or naturalization journey of mine.

 

I read somewhere the line in the interview letter that I can re-schedule it. I tried to look for a date for Info-Pass but crazy the available date is also a conflict. The open date is Feb.8.  So I told myself,  Okey its time to focus on one thing and proceed with my interview.  Started reviewing again the 100 questions and preparing all the documents I need to bring.

 

I told my husband to be off that day so he can drive me for my interview. I don't have the nerve to be driving through that crazy Interstate Highway. :)

Dec.9,2013 - AOS & IV package sent
Dec.13,2013- False checklist received. Called NVC to confirm and they said just ignore it. Its like a confirmation
they received our documents.
Jan.14,2014 - Called NVC and heared our document was reviewed Jan.9 - and we got a checklist
on AOS & IV.

Jan.15,2014- Received official email checklist

Jan.15,2014- Responded to IV checklist in the afternoon. Sending my NBI CLEARANCE (again) Thru FedEx.

Jan 17,2014- NVC received FedEx document at 9:40a.m. signed by G.Peters

Jan 17,2014- Hubby took a half day off at work to dropped off personally to the lawyer's office, a checklist on his
AOS.

I know you are waiting and suffering just like me but though I have my interview date, Im still suffering and sad I cant be home on my moms bday and hurt losing the money spent buying the airfare which will turn to waste.

@La Isla Bonita I'm glad you finally got a letter but I'm so sorry about the timing because I know how much you wanted to be with your mom for her bday. 

 

Hopefully you can change your ticket for a small fee and celebrate your citizenship when this is all done.
