im a NY filer and my interview will be in federal plaza, I am in line since August 18, still no interview date yet!

going to visit my homeland for this coming holidays, as I see things will not move till next year. Hopefully I will hear some news in January if I'm lucky

When did  you take your oath?  Because on my interview the IO gave me an application for a passport and told me that I can apply for a passport during the ceremony as well and to bring a passport picture.  You do not apply for citizenship at the San Jose field office.  If you mail your N400 application to the Phoenix, Arizona office  and you are from counties covered by the Santa Clara County the UCSIS will forward your approved N 400 application to San Jose field office and you will have your biometrics and interview there as well.  I believe the oath taking ceremony for those approved at the San Jose field office are done at the Campbell Heritage Theatre where I had mine.  There was a long line of applicants  for passports which was being processed   by employees of the Dept . of State who were there so I decided not to apply .   I did register to vote.

I am sure you will be called for the interview before the holidays. I waited two months after receiving the letter for the interview date.  Once you are scheduled it will be a smooth process.

Thank you Lilith70.  That's what I hope for that if I get notification in January, the interview date will be in March since I'll have 2 trips in January and February.  Hope my process will be completed before the 1st anniversary of my application submission since I'll have even more trips from June onwards.

 

I'll keep you posted too Lela37 if I hear anything.  Have a safe trip home.

I think if u get notification in January ur interview will be in February since they mail the letter 30 days prior to the interview date!

lets hope it won't interfere with ur trips!

 I got my notice for the interview on Sept. 19 and had the interview Oct 23 n Oath Taking Nov 28.

Exactly!, more then a month to the date, if I have not received the notice yet is because it's not happening in 2017!

Well enjoy your stay in your country if that's where you are spending the holidays and be safe.  I plan on attending our high school reunion in February So I am excited and excited to see family back home.

Today makes it six months since i had my biometrics for my citizenship done and tomorrow makes it seven months since i filed my citizenship n400 application and when i checked my status it still said your case is in line for an interview, they started the interview scheduling process on july 19, 2017 i hope i get this letter for my interview before the year ends

Just so you know, I got the interview letter this past Saturday.  We won't be making it this year unfortunately.  I was really hoping we would squeeze in there just so we can finish this process.  Our interview is scheduled for January 5, 2018.  Like my husband said, he thinks 2018 will be a good year for him so this is a good start to that. 

 

So I'll just assume we will get approved, it looks like the next oath ceremonies are January 17th and 18th at the LA Convention Center.  I feel like you should be getting your notice real soon and may even get a January interview too.  Keep us posted!
