How many days from K-1 interview till visa issuance?

Hi there, just wanted to drop a question as to how many days approximately can go from the embassy interview until the K-1 visa is ready for pickup at the embassy?

Had an interview on 4/4 and, am thinking about starting to inquire at the embassy on Friday if I haven't heard from them by that time, since I need my passport back...

The time can vary, we had a interview on March 20th, and still haven't recieved the visa yet

My fiance got his visa within 5 business days. You are right around that time, so hang tight & be patient. I agree with you, if you don't get it by Friday, to give them a call.

Didn't you get a slip of paper of who they are using to ship it back to you? My fiance got a sheet that said it was coming via DHL, and a tel # to check on status, and web site too. Maybe check that out to see where your package is?

Nah, the one who carried out the interview just congratulated me on the upcoming marriage and told me I'd be called when the visa was ready to be picked up, that it might be a few days.

Try doing a search on your emabassy here on VJ, maybe someone else have information posted. Good luck

It can vary from embassy to embassy. If you tell us where you interviewed there may be some members who could let you know how long theirs took at that particular embassy.
