Hi all,

First and foremost, I want to thank you all for this forum.  It has been so extremely helpful to read through some of the previous threads and to get some answers to my questions.  I think we can all agree that the new I-129f has sent more than a few of us into a tizzy, and trying to hire a lawyer to get basic questions answered is far too expensive.  With that being said, I have a few questions which I couldn't find addressed since the April version of the I-129f was released.

1. For the address history in Part 1 (9a-10.b):  If my physical address is the same as my mailing address as listed in 8a-8i, do I leave this section blank (filled in with N/A) and start with the address prior to my current one in 11a-12b?  If this is the case, are they going to assume that the day after my end date for my previous address is the start date for my current address?  So for example, I live in VA and let's say I moved in January 1, 2017.  Since I still live there, would I leave 9a-10b blank and then in 11a-12b but my previous PA address with "Date To" saying December 31, 2016.   I wonder because the Adobe reader version of the form makes it seem as if you put your current mailing address in 9a-10b and but "Present" in the "Date To" box.  This also applies to the beneficiary's address history section.

Additionally, because I was in college and studying abroad, I have 10 physical addresses for the past 5 years.  I was going to list all of them, continuing onto the Additional Information page, and include a letter explaining why I have so many addresses.  Is that acceptable?

2. "Resided"?:  Just to clarify, when it asks "Provide all U.S. states and foreign countries in which you have resided since your 18th birthday," is it asking where you have legally held residence?  For example, would I have to count Scotland even through I was only there on a student visa?

3. Employment: Would it like a new entry per position or simply per employer? For example, my fiance has held 5 different positions in one company due to promotions.  Would I need to put a new entry for each position?

Thank you so much!!

Hi! I'm in the same boat as you regarding adresses. How did you end up listing your adresses? Did you include a letter explain why so many?

Thank you!

Hi PauliA,

I did end up listing all 10 addresses.  I just included a letter in the packet explaining that I was in college and my legal resident status. The impression that I get from these forums is that if you are forthcoming with information, it shouldn't be a problem.  We received our NOA1 a few weeks ago and are still waiting for the NOA2, so I'm not quite sure of USCIS's opinion of my methods.

Best of luck to you!
