@JBMG  I researched and found e-mail dated May 25, 2017. Didn't notice e-mail until end June 2017. I called about this e-mail and they told me to disregard this e-mail. I read it again and noticed it was a checklist. Well there is a month wasted. I Resubmit all documents to National Visa Center IV and Affidavit of Support on July 25, 2017. They got it Friday morning on July 28, 2017. I called this morning August 01, 2017, talk with a Rep. He said; scan date (second scan date) is July 31, 2017, pending review (waiting review.) He said; "11 week wait from July 31,2017." Which 9 week wait October 02, 2017,  11 week wait is October 16, 2017. Just a. Update. Wife, will be here around November 30, 2017, if everything goes smoothly this time and no checklist again. I received a checklist for Documents Cover Sheet on (AOS) also; forgot to send in all 12 pages of Affidavit of support (I-184.) So, I sent everything again IV and Affidavit of Support with both Document Cover Sheet for IV and AOS with both AOS (I-184) and I-184EZ......all in one packag. Hopefully it goes smooth this time around with no checklist. A. James.

sorry about that James!! That really sucks. Hope you get a CC ASAP!!

Well.. I was at 8 weeks today, but got a checklist last week.  Today..case approved via Mumbai embassy.  I never expedited or requested a supervisor.  I simply called the embassy and explained our checklist was for a non related issue.  So the embassy sent a request to NVC to close the case.  They are forwarding the email today (last night indian time)10 days i was delayed I don't know if this strategy will work for others if u have a legitimate checklist, but if it's a silly one I suggest calling the embassy directly.  I will explain more to anyone who wants more info on how I did this.  Goodluck everyone and if u get a checklist don't despair..it can be fixed😊

Hi, so did you get you get a CC confirmation from the NVC

Thank you!! :) didn't notice that about Shugi. :) Just replied to Nessasmom980 last post.. I'm trying to get the spreadsheet updated as much as possible..

Please if you can continue to encourage one another to update it as you see people giving their status updates on the forums. That would be GREAT!

Thank you much for your feedback as now I've deleted the 2nd shugi. :)

Yes😍 our case completed on NVC August 2nd.  Finally😊 2 weeks to fix the (non-relevant) checklist.  So happy the Embassy helped us solve this problem.  They emailed NVC and requested the case to be closed.  NVC updated on Thursday.  Now awaiting interview date

HI, you should have had a case complete a while ago.. what's going on?

Hey, we actually got a checklist for a missing date on one of the I-864s. My husband has called many times to ask if a supervisor would review the revised version, but had no luck. Hoping for a case complete this month.

I've been meaning to come back and update the spreadsheet, I'll do that today!

Congratulations on your approval! :)

Is it showing "At NVC" when you go to the "check my visa application status" link?

This is what it is showing:

Summary Information

Once your case is received at the National Visa Center (NVC), there are six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview at a U.S. Embassy overseas. You should complete steps one through three online using the table at the bottom of this page:

  • Step 1: Click the “Start Application” button under “Choice of Address & Agent” to complete Form DS-261. Use this form to tell NVC who they should send instructions to about your case. Please provide their e-mail address, if available. More details are online in English and Spanish.
  • Step 2: There are two types of fees. Click the “Pay Now”buttons to pay any required Affidavit of Support fees or Immigrant Visa Application fees. Note the application fee must be paid by each person who is immigrating, and cannot be paid until after NVC has reviewed the Form DS-261 you submitted in Step 1. More details are online in English andSpanish.
  • Step 3: After you pay the Immigrant Visa Application fee, please allow NVC one week to process your payment. You will then be able to access the visa application form online (Form DS-260). Click the“Start Now” button to begin. Instructions are online in English and Spanish.

After you have completed these three steps, you should gather and submit all required documents to NVC:

  • Step 4: Your petitioner should complete the appropriate Form I-864 (Affidavit of Support) and collect evidence of his/her income. Instructions are online in English and Spanish.
  • Step 5: Each visa applicant should collect the required civil documents, such as birth certificates. Instructions are online in English and Spanish.
  • Step 6: Submit all of the required documents from Steps 4 and 5 together in one package to NVC. Instructions are online in English and Spanish.

NVC will review your forms and documents once you have completed all six steps above. NVC will contact your agent to tell you if there are additional items required or if visa pre-processing is complete. You can find out how long it is taking NVC to review applicant documents at the links provided in Step 6 above.
