I called yesterday and the rep told me it went into review on the 13th...really hope it won't take weeks. @Ulrica&Jesse said she called the NVC and was told her case has been in review since June 28 or so (her scan date is May 19 iirc).

I also called yesterday.. because last week they told me I had a strange second scan date in late June.  Still don't really know what caused the second scan (rep..suspects same worker who did my husband's corrected name change maybe opened the file to verify the name was corrected).  Anyway, the lady looked and said "well I can't explain the late scan, but I can give u a little helpful news.  The late scan didn't delay you an additional 11 weeks because I am seeing your file went to review dept. on July 12th"  i was in shock.  I called back a second time and a different guy also confirmed we are in review dept.  But he couldnt give me any details as to how long that takes.

Congrats to you 😀 I feel your anxiety lol.  I am also wanting Monday to hurry and get here😁 come on "at nvc" for both of us😀

YES! Sending positive vibes! Glad they didn't mess up on their end of things and you didn't have to wait an additional however many weeks they said you had to wait. Monday will be here in no time :)

For those of you that have other cases from your country that have received CC on our spreadsheet, you're SO lucky as you can see how long it took them to get their CC.. Use this as a gauge for yourselves..  Being "under review" is exciting but honestly it's misleading.. I've posted the following so many times..

"If your status still reads "Action required: Submit requested documents", you can call the NVC to ask if your case is under review. But honestly, I don't see how this really makes a difference as some people stay in review for 1 day whereas others 14 days+.. And the NVC doesn't always tell you if you're under review.. I would start calling the NVC after normal processing time for your country or after 9 weeks, whatever is later.. "

Yes, some people get their CC's in less than 8 weeks but this is not the case for everyone..  Yes the NVC tells you, they process in the order they receive the cases BUT not everyone that works there is trained in every language or country.. Hence this is why on the following, we can clearly see that India takes about 8-9 weeks to receive a CC.. And UK takes 7-8 weeks.. Canada 9 weeks..

Please review the following, it's sorted by country.. If you see any irregularities, it's most likely because the case was expedited or a supervisor helped them get a CC..  Wishing you all luck. One thing that I have noticed is that the NVC is getting faster to just under 9 weeks..

Now i am truly confused @JBMG.  If "being in review" is not important then why is that particular question even an option on the spreadsheet? I believe it's important to someone or it wouldn't have been added to the timeline.  ..and while I understand it may not mean a completed case immediately, it still gives me peace knowing that at least something is happening with my file.  I agree with you that calling each and everyday day does no good for anyone, and causes frustration to others who need to call.  And useless calls simply tie up the lines.  But I called originally to verify that my husband's name had been fixed and that they got his birth date added correctly.  I think I got a newbie when my file was entered because something as simple as a name and birth date, which is clearly on a bunch of different items of the packet, was somehow entered incorrectly in the system.  That's when I was notified of this mysterious 2nd scan date.  So yes, I have been a bit on edge after that.  So it made me happy to learn for sure that my case was not delayed by an additional 11 weeks.  Especially since the error is on their part, not mine.  😊

I created the questionnaire/spreadsheet. Added that question because wanted to know how long it took to process a case after reaching the review department.. But as you can see, there is no average processing time.. If i were to remove the question, people would be posting about it on the forum.. And saying "well it takes 2 days to get your CC after reaching the review dept" Well yeah, maybe for them it did,. but someone else 50 days.. So that's why it's still on there.  And that's why/how I can answer your question and say "there is no possible way to know how long you'll be under review"

Before the spreadsheet, it was frustrating as we couldn't get a clear picture of anything.. WE were all very confused on why certain cases would get CCs earlier than others.. If you used a Lawyer, did they get a CC faster or were they less likely to have a checklist.. Every question on that spreadsheet was asked on the forum.. That spreadsheet started off with 3 columns.. Name, Scan Date, Case Complete.. It has grown to where it is today because of all the help/feedback from March/April Scan dates.

Currently working with @JessieABC to get the spreadsheet to work on its own.. As I can't stay on forever to manage it and manually update, sort the various formulas... She's been amazing to get it to function the way it does today. Can't thank her enough!

Meanwhile, wishing you and all May scan dates a speedy CC!!

Fantastic, sucks that you had a 2nd scan date.. Is your priority date with the USCIS really 1/29/2016? That's 1.5 years ago!! I hope you get your CC very soon. Sure you and your spouse miss each other very much.. Have you been able to visit one another since Jan of 2016?

@Angel10 . In this forum, you'll find others who have a may scan date. :) Last case from Senegal got their CC (case complete) in 57 days. So you could expect to have your CC by next week.

Click on the following links to check your IR-1/CR-1 visa case status:

Check My Visa Application Status

DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application

If it says "At NVC" and your AOS information is missing.. Then you most likely have a completed case (CC)... Please call the NVC to confirm.

Would be great to see someone else's info on spreadsheet from my country but there is none. At least I would have some idea about how long CC would take for me. Anyways, I will call NVC next Friday unless there will be some changes in my visa status earlier on the website. (which I HOPE). It will be 9 weeks for me on next Friday.  The closer I get to 11 weeks limit, the slower time goes by. It's so hard to keep waiting patiently :(

Congrats!!!

If it says "At NVC" and your AOS information is missing.. Then you most likely have a completed case (CC)... Please call the NVC to confirm.

See Example  :)

You're at day 68, 9.71 weeks. Def seems right in terms of timing. ;)  Please let us know and update the spreadsheet when you get it confirmed. ;)

Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire

If you have lost your questionnaire, you can redo it, I'll delete the duplication.

NVC Case Status Questionnaire -  2017

Thank you, JBMG
