Yes but I am unable to understand my cheklist can you  help me what does it mean I will be thankful

Looks like they're missing pages from your i864/AOS form.  Did you send in every page even if there was nothing on them? Did you write  N/A and None on all the empty fields?  Did you write your case number on every copy?

From what it looks like, you have several errors on your AOS/i864 form.. The NVC is asking for you to resubmit the form to them.. They need to make sure your sponsor qualifies financially.. My advice, call the NVC..

Meanwhile, review the one you sent in...  Read the following instructions to make sure you completed it correctly.

Unfortunately I got a checklist from NVC this morning for Criminal Records of Greece for me and my wife. I moved to Greece 9 months ago and my wife 2 months ago (we are asylum applicants).

1-As far as I know my wife is not supposed to get a criminal record from Greece since she lived here less than 6 months. I don't know why they need it.

2-I asked to my lawyer about why kind of criminal record do foreigners obtain in Greece and he guided me to get the one we got  from Athens. I guess NVC did not accept it, however it seems to be the correct one ,since address in the checklist letter is the same as I have.

Ay recommendations?

Contact the NVC, explain at the time of the NVC application, you hadn't been in Greece for 6 months, your wife has only been in Greece for 2 months. Ask if you can bring those documents to the interview? Ask to speak to a supervisor if the rep isn't of help.

Yay yay yay! I just called NVC about checklist. Rep told me that they require me to take the police certificates to Embassy and my case is  complete! Unbelievable. Two shocks in a day! I am so happy. I would like to thank everyone on the VJ, primarily to JBMG. Now proceeding to the interview step! Good luck everyone...

Hello, you've made it to at least 8 weeks, click on the following links to check your IR-1/CR-1 visa case status:

Check My Visa Application Status

DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application

If it says "At NVC" and your AOS information is missing.. Then you most likely have a completed case (CC)... Please call the NVC to confirm.

See Example (Example shows old screen without list of steps)

I've discovered that the processing times may depend on the country you come from. So on our spreadsheet, sort by interview city and see how long cases from your country took to get their CC's.

If your status still reads "Action required: Submit requested documents", you can call the NVC to ask if your case is under review. But honestly, I don't see how this really makes a difference as some people stay in review for 1 day whereas others 14 days+.. And the NVC doesn't always tell you if you're under review.. I would start calling the NVC after normal processing time for your country or after 9 weeks, whatever is later..

Please update the NVC Case Status Spread Sheet - 2017  with your latest status.

  • If you have not received a CC or you are not under review, update your notes.
    • "June 22 - Morning - Called, still not under review"  (please put date first in your notes).

Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire.

If you have lost your questionnaire, you can redo it, I'll delete the duplication.
