I just don't understand USCIS at all,I'm awaiting our NOA2 and the things you read about on here and other forums is ridiculous. You send in all the evidence they require such as pics of meeting within the past 2 years and other such items and people still get Rfe 😡 😡 😡

I really cannot wait for this to all be over and I can plan my future with my fiance.

Hi there! I understand your frustration, I honestly do.  I know you didn't ask for my advice, but here it is anyway.  I was in your situation not long ago.  I was wishing every single day away while waiting for my future husband to have his K-1 visa in hand.  During that time, I think I placed a lot of unnecessary stress on both of us.  The K-1 process is not easy, it's not short, and it's highly unpredictable.  Try to enjoy what the two of you have together right now...today...in the present.  Learn about each other, teach each other slang from your respective countries, watch Netflix together over Skype, "share" Chinese food while talking on the phone.  Once you are together in the US, a whole other set of worries and stresses will come up based on the AOS process and learning to live together.  So enjoy your time "together" even when you are apart.  I know the time difference between the US and the UK is a ROYAL pain in the hind end and makes it difficult to talk when you're working a full-time job, but you'll get through this.  You never know what tomorrow might bring, so enjoy today.  You'll be together soon.

We Skype all the time especially at weekends ☺, my fiance in USA works Monday to Friday and I only work 6 hrs from 4-10 am weekdays, it works perfectly for us when I arrive home she's just waking up 😁 as we are only 5 hrs apart.

Don't assume that what you send them isn't enough. The fact is things happen. If you knew what the inside of the service center looked like and their filing system well you wouldn't be surprised how things go missing. Just because they send you an RFE asking for evidence, doesn't mean that your evidence isn't good enough. It may be that they lost your evidence that you sent to begin with. They will never admit that either. Photos are secondary evidence, so if that's all the person relies on in terms of evidence, then of course they will ask for more.

Try not to get too stressed. You only just recently applied and you have a long process ahead of you. Just stay positive!

2 months gone by already since filing ☺

Be aware this can take much longer. If there ends up being a backup it can get really bad. When I filed for my fiance back in 2015, I was one of the first batches of people in the new service center and it still took two months, but it was taking a year or MORE for those at TSC because it had such a bad backup.

I am going to be straight forward because, that's what works for me.  That being said, you need to have patience, dear grasshopper.  You are currently at the longest part...waiting for the NOA 2.  I got an RFE because I forgot to check a box on page 5.  I sent it back within 2 days, and it took me contacting my congressperson to help me out because USCIS never received my RFE.  My Rfe was set to expire on March 10th and on March 9th, my congresswoman had that RFE in my hand.  The point of me sharing this with you is to help you understand that this is a long process that requires you to pay attention, follow the rule and make sure every "I" is dotted and ever "T" is crossed.  The I-129F is the easy part.  The paperwork and the amount of documentation needed and the amount of proof the will continue to need is crazy.  Some people smooth sail through this part and others like me age about 15 years in the first 3 months.  Stop worrying about what everyone else needs....that is wasted energy.  Just focus on your relationship, your paperwork, your case and stand in line with the rest of us.  There is a lot of fraud out there and you shouldn't be shocked about the amount of time and documentation needed.  :jest:

2 things I learned from this whole process is firstly USCIS/NVC really don't care how long the process takes, they come in do their job, go home. You are trying to enter their country, its not your right to enter so why should they care??

Secondly patience, there is no point getting stressed because somebody filed a day after you and got their NOA before you, it doesn't work that way, each case is individual, each case goes to someone's pile of work and they work on it, there is no exact timeline, do they have deadlines................yup, do they hit them..............nope.

My case was at the time an estimated 9-10 months, from date of filing to POE was 17 months, and I flew 1 week after my Visa was in my hand.

Make use of your time to clear up your #######, I thought I was well ahead, and even with my delays I was in panic mode selling anything and everything on EBay! Lol

Skype when you can, I flew to the US 3 times, my wife came to the UK, we spoke twice a day by telephone.
