Just a little word to Zaurok

I wish you a successful interview for your K-1 on Thursday April 12. I know you were worried about you paperwork but just to let you know that I was fine with my papers finally as we talked in pm. They did not even ask to see the divorce paper and the W-2's were enough with the Affidavit.

Kick Butt!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Jul 5 - Receipt date for I-130 petition for my over 21 brother and his wife (both in the UK)

2024

Feb 23 - Sent USCIS a message asking for a processing update

May 6 - Received an email response saying things were progressing normally but that waiting times might be longer

Sept 10 - NOA1 date
Sept 16 - NOA1s received

2014

Feb 25, 26 & 28 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office, then to my local office, and then just transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

Thanks. So I shouldn't have to make photocopies of the 40 or so pages of her 2006 tax income? :unsure:

I still don't have a certified version of her divorce papers but... meh. Can't do much about that. I made photocopies of it just in case they wanna take it.

Think they'll give me a hard time if I don't have paper fasteners(spelling) for everything BUT the affidavit?

Thanks for the support. I'm still not sure what time I should aim for, tomorrow morning at the consulate.

1 year+ for a K-1 Visa. Who would've thought...

December 30/06 Married!!

January 16/07 Sent out AOS, EAD, and AP docs

January 23/07 NOA1's for AOS, EAD and AP

February 13/07 Biometrics in Portland, OR

April 7/07 EAD and AP Received

April 24/07 Interview Scheduled . . . and APPROVED, stamp and all!

May 7/07 Greencard is in my hands!

ROC Journey:

February 17/09 Sent I-751 to CSC

February 18/09 NOA1

March 14/09 Biometrics appt.

April 22/09 Date of Approval!!

June 25/09 Greencard arrives in the mail!

2007-07-07: EAD card received! (yay!)

2007-08-23: AOS interview (Documents / Interview review)

2007-08-23: Green card production ordered!!!

08/18/2010 : Biometrics appointment

02/09/2011 : Contacted congressman due to non-receipt of card

I showed up at 7h45 and my appointment was at 8h30. I passed in front of everybody at security cause of their big bags. I was sitting down until 8h20 for my papers and then I had my interview at 9h00 and at 9h13 i was walking outside....

And for my sheets, i took the time to put paperclips everywhere so NO staples and the first thing she did was stapling the sheets of my DS-156 together :wacko:

Oh well, I wish you the best!!! Give us some news!

Will do. Checking the checklist again to make sure I have everything set for tomorrow and I'm off to bed. Need to add Canadian for my passport Nationality (stupid lawyers firm) and write my adress on the express envelop.
