Medical - Interview

Is it possible to do medical on a Monday and Tuesday and do the interview on Wednesday (three day process)? I don't need to know if it's recommended but rather if it's possible. I've had a pretty smooth process so far and maybe I'm pushing my luck, but I'm definitely willing to do it in three days.

Also, once the status shows as ready for interview I can interview right away, correct?

I think I know the answer from my hours and hours of lurking and researching here, but I figured I would come out and ask. Many of you are much smarter and more experienced than me.

Thanks for any answers!

Too me it seems too close for comfort...but in our case Noom had his medical on Monday and his interview on Wednesday and it all worked out fine. BUT we had about an hour during the medical when we were very worried. The doctor thought Noom was going to need another set of vaccinations before the visa could be granted. But then the doctor discovered Noom was allergic to something in the vaccine and had to give him one dose orally. One dose and he was done! Sounds crazy I know BUT I kept thinking if Noom had had the medical a week or two earlier we wouldn't have had that last minute stress! Good luck!

Thanks for the quick reply!

I know there can be issues with medical and that will delay the process, but I'm willing to chance that. I will not be with her during the process as I will be overseas for work that time. Just checking my options. I figure even if it's a week prior and there's an issue that the interview will have to be rescheduled.

Absolutely!   If all goes well with the medical your fiancee will be carrying the medical file to USEM for the interview.  No issue at all.

If you don't stumble with your medical, no problem. You'll carry your medical records to the interview and that's that.  I hope you are not waiting for your status to change to ready for interview.  You don't need to wait.  Get your paperwork together by following Sagot's nifty handy dandy guide.  So if you have your MNL # it's time to "rock and roll" kiddo.

Nope, not waiting. I'm only waiting for the interview and the medical. All paperwork completed. Thanks.

Just checked my status, and it says ready. I don't really know how that happened so quick. The status changed to in transit this morning and is ready now. Interview scheduled and I will just knock out the medical the days prior to that. Thanks again all for your advice!

Use to be I would tell folks to figure 4-5 weeks for the visa process once you have your MNL #, now I think it could easily be done in two weeks, as long as the case file isn't delayed, and you can get an early interview date.  Things are moving along much faster as of late.
