Affidavits of bon fide marriage

For the I-130 Do the affidavits need to be a certain format as in follow a certain template ? Or can the people you have writing them write them how they want as far as format goes?  Also do the affidavits Need to be notarized or just sworn. Thank you

There's not a mandatory template or format to follow as long as you include the important information necessary to be considered. Usually they don't need to be notorized, and they are more valid if signed by American citizens.

 

Take in count that they aren't a strong proof of bona fide marriage, but it doesn't hurt to include them.

Do they have to be the originals or copies of the originals

They should be originals if you include them.  Generally, including affidavits as evidence of marriage, should only be included if there is not plenty of other evidence of time spent together in person.  They tend to be lame, unless the affiant actually observed the evolution of your relationship.  Affidavit should be about what people "know" and have observed about your relationship, not simply about witnessing a ceremony.

 

When in doubt.  Leave them out.
