Wow, so lucky!!!! Just out out curiosity, when dis your status changed to “case ready to be scheduled for an interview”?

yes I have seen that too, so annoying really! And ya EAD is taking forever, I have seen people who have been waiting for 6+ months...scary

It was about 2 weeks after biometrics if I remember correctly. Then it changed over to "On March 4, 2019, we scheduled an interview for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status". So it was about 3 weeks from Biometrics to the appointment scheduling.

What is driving me nuts is the inconsistency with USCIS. My wife and I had a nightmare trying to get a SSN after she arrived on her K1 (Need SAVE System verification but took to long to process). We filed AOS at end of January had biometrics  in Feb and now have an Interview scheduled in 2 weeks. We did not receive a letter to bring an i693 but on the appointment confirmation document the had the generic list of all of the things to bring to the interview.

Everything is inconsistent in Baltimore.  We had no trouble getting a SS # when my fiance now wife arrived from Ukraine to Baltimore and it seems to be luck if you get an early interview appointment. NOA1 Jan 11, Biometics early February, had an RFE around the same time.  It changed to ready to schedule interview 2 weeks ago and now it seems timeline is 0days - 1 year? as to when they schedule an interview.  Wish they were consistent.

My wife is in no rush for the EAD or GC but it sure would be nice to have the AP so we could do some travelling.

Has anyone got the interview letter lately? Just wondering how long is the wait for the interview in MD? Just got notification this morning that our interview has been scheduled!

In September, my wife got her letter 10 days after the online status changed to scheduled.  I know of a few others going through Baltimore since the start of 2019 who have waited about the same time (7-10 days).

You can also call USCIS, ask for a tier 2, and they should be able to give you the interview date.  We did that last year. They had the date, but not the time.  If the tier 2 says it's not available, try again the next day until you either get the answer or the letter arrives.

Good Luck! - Jason

Hi Jason, Northern VA AOS filer here...I'm waiting right along with your wife's son! I had biometrics December 26th, and my online status is "Case Received." No idea why they can't at least bother to update it so we can see the process! Good luck :)

Ohh you're so close to me in NOVA, AND you're from Canada, too!! So cool! Where in Canada are you from? :)

Hi :) Yeah I live about as NOVA as you can get, right across the bridge from DC! I'm from Victoria, BC, but I went to university in Texas and then lived in Miami for 4 years AND had one year of an OPT, so I lived in the US for almost 9 years as a student before going home for a year then starting from scratch again with a K-1...it was so nice to live back home with my family that I almost wished my now-husband and I could just live there instead! I think I've convinced him that we should retire in Victoria in about 40 years :P How about you?

Wow that's so cool!! I was born & raised in Cape Breton, but lived in Ottawa for 12 years before moving to DC 8 months ago! I'm actually in Maryland in Prince Georges County! I definitely plan to live half the year in Canada when we retire!! My husband is 11 years older than me, so hopefully I get to retire when he does!! LOL

Hi! Jumping in here (just found this thread) I'm also in NOVA and an early March filer :) On Apr. 8 my status changed to "ready to be scheduled for an interview" and then a couple of days ago it changed to "fingerprint review completed", which is weird because that should have happened first lol, so I think / hope it might be a glitch? Anyways, hoping we all get speedy processing in the DC office... wonder what processing times are like for our office

Cool :) The status update is probably just a glitch. I have no updates at all on the "new site," but on the "old site" it took all the way until March 20th for mine to be "ready to be scheduled." I filed in early December. Nothing about the processing system makes sense so I'm just enjoying spending time with my husband and exploring the beautiful outdoor spaces in the area this spring! Just as long as I get my EAD/AP in time for our second wedding in Canada this August...

Same here, the new website just says "case received" for all my forms. There really is no logic to how they process applications and update the system. I'm sure the government shutdown did not help for people like you who filed in December / January, hope they are starting to process the applications from around then now! And indeed, it is quite pretty here around this time of year.. I'm on OPT working for a bit longer but after that I will be right there with you trying to make the most of my time off haha
