is see your point but @BaltimoreFiler says tier 2 says his gc start date is correct. so now i'm more confused.

Tier 2 told me that my wife cannot adjust in the US and then they got her an incorrect category on the green card... I know a guy that got approved with his wife a day before 2 years (on the spot) and the officer offered to wait a week to approve them for a 10 year green card

So just off the phone with tier 2

my GC is correct, no need to change it, it starts from my AOS PD which is July 3rd.

in 15 months I can apply for my 10 year

History on me, been in America on work visas for 7 years so was adjusting from a work visa

Not correct, I filed 11/08/2016, I485 approved 01/23/2018, GC starts 01/23/2018

Tomorrow is our Interview date (K1 --> AOS)

We are more excited then nervous, always a little nervous we could forget a piece of paper or something but have reread and made copies of everything we have (It has to be a good sign that its going to be 75 degrees tomorrow in Baltimore :D).

We will let our Baltimore AOSers know how it goes (hopefully smoothly) :D

A little information about our interview. We arrived about 20 minutes early and waited about an hour to be called.

The interviewer was pretty serious but nice. We did get her to crack a smile at the end. My husband was asked about his past employment and his visa he was working on the last time he was in the US (which was an E2 investment visa). She ran through the list of yes/no questions about over throwing the government. Then asked if we had anything for her. We showed her our bank statements, cars, insurance, etc. She asked a couple of questions about our 10 year plan together, I laughed because, my husband and I would also like to know our ten year plan (where we are going to live, etc). She humored me and looked quickly through our wedding album.

Then said we should hear from them within 120 days one way or another.

Congrats!

Had they changed your on line status? I just checked today and mine has been changed to "Interview was completed and my case must be reviewed" which i am disappointed about because I'm thinking, why bother updating with that status if you're about to approve me?

Just curious if they did that with you as I'm seeking some comfort lol

Adam,

I applied for my fathers AOS back in September of 2016.... after a long time we finally had his interview on Jan 29 2018...... and on Jan 31 2018 his status only changed to the same thing as yours! Up to now....we have not gotten any more updates....

how about for you guys? Not that many people get this status.

Hi, we were interviewed 3 days before you. I came to the US on a K1. We got married Feb 2017 but we didn’t file the I-485 until May. The status updated after we left the interview but has been like that since.

The officer said it would not take 120 days but that she had to state that’s how long they have to make a decision. So we shall see!

After reading all the above comments I am trying to keep my expectations low on getting an approval update in the next week.

We upfront asked the IO if there was any need to update any the paperwork in our file. She said it all looked okay. Specially our financial and medical papers because we had copies of everything with us.

And even if we do, my expectations are low that the date will be correct on the GC. Haha.
