Going through this thread but can't find the answer I want. What's the timeline on when I hear back for my GC? We weren't approved on the spot but the IO said it's because the systems were down on Monday so the office was set back a day. I still have no update online. But now I'm just anxious.

Also, quick update on my interview experience. I don't think there was any suspicion that my husband and I weren't actually in a bona fide marriage. We were asked nothing other than to verify our address. Then he went through that long list with me about espionage and overthrowing the government.  Then asked me to verify my mother's name and birthday. They only asked my husband where he was born. They did ask where we met but that's all they asked about us as a couple. My husband and I left the interview quite upset because we were prepared to answer so many questions about our day to day and our marriage and got NOTHING lol. I think I submitted too much evidence with my initial application because we brought more stuff and the IO said "no, please, we have enough. Keep it all." So, I'm pretty sure we were approved. The told me at the end that I should receive my GC in the mail and told me all about the 2 year limitations etc etc, so I asked candidly "does this mean we're approved?" They said they just need to go into the system and make sure everything matches up. But that's all.

Congratulations!

This was how my husbands K1 interview went overseas. They asked 3 questions (only one about me and it was when he saw me last, which was only 30 minutes before the interview because I was visiting at the time). It was very underwhelming which I guess was a good thing.

Hope you hear back soon and thanks for the update! We have our interview Feb. 21st :)

How long is it taking for work and travel docs for K1 applicants out of Chicago/Baltimore?  NOA on 10/17 and Biometrics Nov 6.  We submitted the application all together with the AOS.  My husband is very anxious to get working.  Is there a phone number to call to check status?

Also, why do some people have 2 biometrics done?  We only got a letter for 1 set of biometrics.

Thanks!

I have my interview next week, does anyone have any more experiences or what to expect.

I’m relaxed about the whole thing but my wife is nervous.

This was asked recently on this thread and this is what I would suggest.

We applied July 2017 and it took just under 100 days. I would suggest filling out your VJ time line. They will use every ones updates on VJ to give you an estimate of your approval dates. It has been relatively accurate for us during the process (assuming there aren’t any issues with processing). It will also update continuously depending on what others are reporting.

Hi guys, I just want to share my timeline and see if anyone is in the similar time frame with me:

9/15/17...AOS package delivered

9/25/17...Hardcopies of receipts received

9/29/17...Biometrics notice received

10/13/17...Biometrics appointment completed

12/11/17...EAD card delivered (didn't apply for AP)

So far, I-485 status is still 'Fingerprint Fee Was Received'. I-765 status never changed, still 'Case Was Received' even though I received it. I-130 is still 'Case Was Received' as well. Hope we can get an interview date scheduled soon, fingers crossed.

One question, we didn't receive any RFEs, does it mean our package is considered complete?...

I’m relaxed about the whole thing but my wife is nervous.

Just had our interview this morning, in Baltimore.

Our appointment was 7.30 and we checked in about 10 minutes early. We were given the number K11 but told to listen out for my name. At least 13 couples got called before we did so the number didn't mean all that much. We were called through at about 7.55. The woman was friendly enough and professional. She told us that it is now standard practice in Baltimore for the interviews to be video recorded. Have others been told this because no-one else seems to have mentioned it?! She just said "ignore the camera" which is a tiny web cam on the corner of her computer screen so it was very easy to ignore! She asked my husband my full name, date of birth, where I was born, my parents' names and whether he has met them. She asked me the same questions about him, but also asked me when we got married and where. As I'm still unemployed she also asked me what my husband's previous job was. He has 2 jobs so I mentioned the previous full time job and she said she had his part-time job written down, so we explained he has 2 jobs and where he has worked on his part-time job as he has changed that since I've known him but not his main job.

She also spent  bit of time sorting out our address as we moved in December and  I hadn't heard back from them apart from by email so I knew they still had the old address on file. She went through all the 'terrorism' and other form questions, then asked again where my husband was born and when we got married. She asked if it was the 10th February but that's the date I picked up the Certificate, so we count our wedding day as the day we were married, which was the 18th.

Then she said she was printing out the paper that confirms the interview is over and that we will hear from them. She said "we have 120 days to write to you but it's usually much sooner" but gave no other indication of whether or not we were 'ok'. Other people have posted similar things on here so I wasn't too surprised, but then again, many people seem to say "we were told there and then that we were successful" so maybe it depends on the officer in question. As others have said they checked none of our paperwork, nothing that is mentioned as being essential on the form, no photos, nothing. Maybe they will ask for more in 2 years.

So that's it. On line status still says "case is ready to be scheduled for interview" so that's useless as well. So I guess we are just waiting for the mail to come now!

Keep checking your status on line, but for a combo card, it looks as though they are taking at least 3-4 months now. Has your AOS status changed to "case is ready to be scheduled for interview"? We just had our interview today, 8 months since we filed our AOS (and other) paperwork. So they seem to be taking about that long for AOS, but about half that for EAD and AP combo card.

Thank you for the update and good luck.

I am not expected to be approved on the day, after reading a lot of time lines it now seems to be the norm to get the white paper with the decision.

I wonder if they can only approve a certain number of people a day

Similar for us today. A few more questions than you had but nothing about photos or any other evidence. Didn't even ask to see half the stuff they say you 'must' bring on the form, but hey, we've had our interviews now, there's just the mail to wait for :-)

Yeah, not sure. We definitely heard squeals of delight from another room when we were having our interview, so someone got some good news! It's the case not updating on line that's annoying too, as some people who posted that they were told they just had to wait checked their status on line "in the car" and it had already changed. Mine still hasn't updated to say I have an interview!

My online case status for i485 is still on RFE Received and that was from August, my interview is next week.

I didn’t even get a text/email alert to say about the interview.

it was just there in my mailbox one day

Same for me, in terms of the mail arriving. It was sent to my old address as well so I received it about 14 days after they sent it via the auto-forwarding service. At least the officer today told me she had updated the address on file so anything else should come to the new address.
