So for those wondering about current timeframes for the Baltimore Office, my asawa just received her interview notice for January 30th, 2018.  We filed June 5th, no RFEs, Biometrics July 5th, received EAD/AP Combo card October 7th.  So about 8 months from start to interview.

Good luck to everyone waiting.

Today

I received my interview letter for January 30th in Baltimore, my file date in July 3rd.

My online status did not update.

The good thing with the interview letter is that it tells you what to bring.

Any advice on how to prepare for the interview with be greatly appreciated.

We have received a letter last night that we were approved on 12/26. However, they put in a wrong category on the letter, so we will go over to the field office to get it corrected and to get a stamp in the passport in case we have to file I-90 to get it corrected and in that case we will jave to mail an original green card. We also went to the field office on 12/20 to see if there were any updates, it might have helped even though the interview was on 11/28. What a New Years gift!

Congrats!

Lots of people getting notifications who filed after we did (May 24th). I'm not getting paranoid though - much ;-)

I notice that the on line system doesn't necessarily update either. It didn't change when I got my AP in the mail. I submitted a change of address form as we moved on 16th December (still within MD so no doubt still stuck with Baltimore lol). The email said to expect a reply by 29th December. I haven't had one, but we have auto-forwarded our mail from the old address which I believe lasts a month, so if anything had been sent prior to them updating their system I would still receive it.

Any other Baltimore filers from May (or earlier) still not heard anything? I've been 'ready to be scheduled for interview' since June 29th.

We are July 17th filers through K1. I was getting my hopes up that we would receive a letter in the next week or two because of all the recent activity but this reminds me to be patient.

Hopefully your interview letter or GC comes soon!

We're K1 too. Some of the others didn't seem to be, but even then some are. I am unsurprised there is apparently no logic to the speed. It could be down to individual agents. When I had an infopass back in September I was told our paperwork was still with the NVC and hadn't even been sent to Baltimore. I had no idea it stayed with the NVC after your case had been appointed to an office so that was news!

Here's hoping you hear soon too. I will update as soon as I do. I was expecting April/May based on the info on USCIS about where they are in the processing (they advance about a month every month and were in November 2016 at the end of October 2017!) Clearly as some people now have interviews it isn't something they do in precise order but I guess it provides a worst case scenario and a dampening of any spirits which seems to be an essential part of the process :-)

I was actually told on VJ that some cases never actually make it to a local office and will be approved at NVC level, its not too many but some do without an interview. But then some also don't have an interview at the local office level, and then some do have an interview at the local office. Hope you hear about your case soon.

I have no idea where ours is either. Our case is still sitting on case received. So at this point I would assume everything is going to be a surprise when it happens.

Hey Guys

My AOS Marriage based interview is the start of next month in Baltimore

My PD is July 3rd

Biometrics 22nd August

Interview February 1st

How did people organize actual photos they took, i don't want to take loads in a random order, the way i was thinking is this

Wedding Pictures

Engagement Pictures

Photos with family

Photos with friends

Photos of me and my spouse

In 5 zip lock bags with the date and year wrote on the back of them

Or does anyone have a better suggestion

Thanks

Well they do not need more than 10 photos, as the officer told me. So I would choose from different events and different clothing.

Gooooood luck!

I included like 30 pages worth of pics plus print outs of our social media in our application. So, I’m only carrying a few pics from birthdays, Christmas, family events to supplement.
