In August i got an RFE, any updates on when to be expecting a letter regarding interview

Question:  This is me probably just over worrying but I want to make sure we don't mess anything up.

 

My husbands family is planning a trip to Europe next summer and we have started making plans to join them.

 

I am nervous because the time span we plan on going would be around the time I would expect our GC interview to be scheduled (according to the Baltimore processing times). If we don't hear anything by May about interview/GC do you think it would be wise to make an Infopass appointment and let them know about our travel plans? I'm just nervous we would be travelling when we are scheduled for the interview. Any thoughts or experience with this?

so what I've learnt is that your infopass won't help at all before the case is at Baltimore. The office in St Louis is the one that schedules and then sends cases off to Baltimore. I'd honestly wait, travelling on AP is OK but not guaranteed. We've done it but by looking back I'd repeat it.

came home after last minute thanksgiving grocery shopping and checked the mail to two letters..very happy and thankful to announce that our case has been approved!! we should have a green card in hand within the next three weeks :'-) updating all my timeline stuff now. of course will stick around to answer q's and help others. and his is a 2yr conditional so we are by no means finished with our journey.

We have just completed our interview. We got there at 6:50, interview scheduled for 7:00 am. We were checked in at 7:08 and the interview was conducted by a younger male person. He was first asking me, a petitioner, questions. Then asked my wife a bunch of yes/no questions. We got a standard paper that was already prepared that a decision will be made with 120 days. He saod that he needs to check the medicals and then additional paperwork that I brought in. Overall, seemed very good and the guy was very nice!

getting a bit nervous, and trying to figure out who received a decision on the green card and how much time it took after an interview? we're planning a few things for new years and time is getting there...

Did your status get updated online prior to the letter? Wondering if they are delayed? Did the letter come from the local office?

our tracker only up to date until the interview was ready to be scheduled. our appointment notice letter came by surprise. the tracker updated a week after our interview saying our case was being reviewed. our approval notice letter came by surprise as did the green card a week later! the tracker is sooo wonky

Ok guys, almost 5 months after i had the interview, yesterday in the mail i got a letter requesting a new medical. No online updates at all. Initially when i got the mail I thought it was a confirmation for the infopass i made for Dec.13, but turned out it was an Evidence of Request. Looks like the wait continues , i hope not for too long.

How long is the medical valid for,

Medical is good for 12 months vefore submitting it to uscis and then for 12 months ince submitted. We had our medical done on 12/10/16, gave it to them on 11/28 at the interview. So it will be valid until 11/27/18.

When did it expire? It is a very good sigh which means that they are ready to approve the case!
