I went to one in Baltimore right by the city, cost me $450, but I needed a shot

Just had a wonderful surprise when I opened the mailbox today. I received my Advance Parole. I'm so happy as I was so sure I wasn't going to get it in time for my travel in November (which is day 100 after I applied).

It has comes as a I-512L form. I have 2 copies. I have read now in other forum posts that I take both with me when I travel and hey will stamp them and either keep 1 or give it back to me, and I use the other one as my travel document. I had been worried that they were only giving me 2 passes and that was it.

Anyone else receive their AP in this way? I did not get a combo card as I applied for my EAD before my AP (I have my EAD and it expressly states it is not a combo card).

Interestingly, my on line case status still just says 'received'.

I went to the one in Bethesda. She was great. A little quirky but fine. She only takes cash. But I mainly went to get my UK medical paperwork authorised. She did give me one shot for something that I needed and some tests but it was so long ago (March I think) I can't remember. Wasn't as much as $450 either.

any updates on anyone in the Baltimore thread? I'm very concerned that the new requirement of in-person employment based interview will make it waaaaaay longer!

Are you getting a GC through your current work, if that’s the case my boss went through it last year and took a while

no, I've gotten mine a while ago through NIW, it is my wife who is waiting to finally get interview as a family based adjustment... her date is current as of October 1, but still nothing from USCIS, applied on October 2016.

I brought updated I 864 but the IO didn't ask for it. I suggest that you have it with you,  so your process doesn't get delayed. I had my interview in July everything went well and still waiting for decision.

I haven't made an infopass yet, however i called twice and got the same response that my case is within the normal processing time, i filed November 2016 and they are working September's cases so i have to wait. Also i put a SR online and it was assigned to an officer but i never got response.

I had my interview in June, still no decision. Contacted congressman who reached out to Baltimore. This ‘jolted’ my case and they had me do new fingerprints. Not the usual appointment letter, just one to show up at 1 of 3 locations in MD as soon as possible. Did that within 3 days of getting letter, nothing. Did SRs on the phone and online, nothing. Online one was assigned to an officer for about 1 month. Called and spoke to a Tier 2 IO who seemed upset that case has been pending so long. Got a letter indicating that there is no timeframe for when decision will be made. Per letter I received at interview, I should wait 120 days before inquiry so I have an info pass for 10/30.

Background: AOS from F1, married to PR, in relationship 15 years, married 4 years, 2 children (12 years and 4 months old), PD December 2014, filed AOS October 2015, on second EAD.

This has been a long journey for you, i hope in the end everything will be fine. I am married 3 and a half years and have 2 children as well so I don't see a room for concern. Soon i will have to renew my EAD,  when is the earliest I can do it and how long it takes to receive the new one?
