No worries! I was approved on 7th Sept and it came on the 14th.

Have you filed for EAD and AP together? I didn't but of course wish I had now! My AP file date is the day before yours.

What's the AP, is that for travel, I filed AOS from work visa with i485, i130 and my EAD, hopefully 4/6 weeks mine will make it to me

None on our part.

I did see a lot of July filers are beginning to received EADs or RIE this past week. Fingers crossed something happens soon. Are there any K1 filers to AOS on this string? I saw one K1 - AOS  Baltimore couple was recently approved without interview, not sure how common that is in Baltimore.

01/31/17.... K1 Visa Approved

02/03/17.... K1 Visa Received in Hand

nope, our SR has been ignored, put in another one. Waiting...

Hey,

Sorry for delay. I put in a SR for my EAD after 75 days which wasn't answered. I called and they raised another one over the phone, but then I got my decision before that second one expired. I was approved on day 107 and received the card on day 114. That was EAD only, with an application date of 24th May.

My AP application was 25th July. I had an Infopass appointment at the Baltimore Field office earlier in September, as I now have a travel date, which I didn't when I initially applied. The guy there told me I was too early to request an expedite and to come back second week in October. He did say he saw no reason why it wouldn't be processed in time but if it takes as long as my EAD it will come too late as my travel date is day 100. As an aside he told me my I-485 is still at the NSC, and hadn't been transferred to Baltimore yet. My status has been 'ready to be scheduled for interview' since 29th June.

I then found Infopass appointments really hard to come by and so only managed to get one for next Tuesday, 17th October. I am hoping to get my expedite request approved, or better yet, for him to tell me it is on the way. I'll report back when I've been.

I'm a May filer adjusting from K1 at Baltimore. Been 'ready to be scheduled for interview' since 29th June but was told in early September that my case is still with NSC and he has no idea when it will be sent to Baltimore. Only when they have it can they then schedule the interview. He then just trotted out the statistic about them processing August 2016 at that time so to sit tight. I genuinely don't expect an interview until maybe May next year. As i've said elsewhere, right now I'm sweating on my AP!

Infopass took perseverance lol. Every day pretty much after my first appointment I went on there. Some days i got to a page but it wouldn’t let me select or change the date shown. Mostly it just says “no appointments at this time try again tomorrow”. I logged on at about 12.30am and even then there were only 4 available.

Make sure you have your case number and A number to hand as you need them both when you fill out the online form. Don’t give up and Good luck!

Hey @Adam D

Question about the info pass appointments. We live in the city of Baltimore and my husband was just looking up info pass appointments (he has a third interview with a company this Tuesday and we are hopefully this 3rd interview will come with a job offer). We looked up how to expedite the EAD and infopass was one way. Two things:

We looked up appointments and had quite a few but they are two weeks away. Did you have difficulty actually booking an appointment? Or was it difficult finding one in your time frame?

If they approve it on the spot do you still have to wait for them to mail the card or is it more immediate (this is a very hopeful statement but nothing is immediate with immigration)?

Thanks

Infopass appointments are so popular they always go really quickly. When you log on you’ll always see any they have available ‘14 days from today’ so it is always 2 weeks from the date you’re looking the first time I tried to book one I must have got lucky as I had a choice of lots of different time slots. This last time it took me about 2 weeks to even get to log on and see available appointments and there were only 4 left so I grabbed one. If you see one, take it. You can cancel any time if you no longer need it.

EAD is approved by the NVC as far as I know so there isn’t anyone at the Baltimore office who can actually approve it on the spot. If anyone else has different advice please say. What they can do is see your case file and of course contact someone at the NVC on the phone.

I was told you can get the decision on whether they will expedite your case quickly. But that’s not the same as getting the actual card in your hand. I will only have 2 weeks before I’m due to fly so time isn’t on my side at all and I would love it if I could leave there on Tuesday with my AP but I know I won’t.

Good luck and keep us updated.
