My GC start date is 1/23/2017. I wasn’t even married then. Looks like they just arbitrarily put mine one year before my interview...

Exchange it, otherwise there will be delays and issues at the cotizenship stage,  better do it now vs later and cause problems. It’s free. They made a mistake on ours and we’re doing the same now, which is unfortunate but...

on the day the approval was issued (see the welcome letter or online when the case was approved (I-485)). Feel free to ask questions since we've gone thru the process

My notice date is 1/23/2018. At the interview the IOs (yup, there were 2) said that on my 2-year wedding anniversary, my GC would expire, i.e. my date would be retroactively applied. So I gathered from that that conditional GC would expire 1/28/2019.

ok if you were not yet married at that time, then yeah your gc start date is wrong. my confusion is whether the gc should start from the day your aos is accepted or on the interview approval date. will search more on here later. im sure it's discussed here somewhere.

Approval - it’s no brainer. Mine started that way, some people’s AOS applications are pending for for than 3-5 years, once they are approved it would be silly to be eligible for a citizenship. Want to believe it or not, you will need to replace the green card. Conditional one expires in 2 years once approved

I think someone made the ultimate human error of forgetting it is no longer 2017.

Stinks for you because their error is now your headache to get 2017 corrected to 2018 :(

So just off the phone with tier 2

my GC is correct, no need to change it, it starts from my AOS PD which is July 3rd.

in 15 months I can apply for my 10 year

History on me, been in America on work visas for 7 years so was adjusting from a work visa

So my priority date is May 12. My GC should start May 12, 2017 and expire May 12, 2019?
