Got my GC in the mail today.

Congrats on the GC

Do they ask every single Yes/No question on the 485, that’s a lot of question

also when you answer is No Ma’am or No Sir

Yes they asked each one and it was a lot. I was actually laughing at the questions and the IO was laughing too.

Hey guys

had my interview today, was verbally approved at the end of the interview. The IO said her computer was down so will put it through tomorrow, was not given the 120 day decision letter.

It felt more like a chat rather than an interview, Interview was scheduled for 2pm, we was called in around 230 and was out by 250.

we was sworn in, and ask for Driving Licenses and Passports for both of us.

The IO asked my wife the USC, our address, my full name and date of birth.

She then asked me the same about my wife.

She asked If we had any more evidence to give

- mortgage letter

- car insurance shows both or names

- blank check from joint account

- a 2016 and a December 2017 joint bank statement

- our joint phone bill

she kept all the above but also I took our joint credit cards which show the same number

we still live with the in laws which we explained cos we were saving money and she totally understood.

Then we we spoke about how we met, when, who proposed, how proposed, where proposed, what’s our future plans.

also asked if my wife had met my parents in UK, she hasn’t except by Skype, due to my mom can’t fly and I can’t leave the country, we explained that we plan on going home in the summer.

The IO went through a scrapbook I’d done, and our photos, she loved the photos of our dog and asked for 5/6 for our folder.

Went through some of the Yes/No questions, she was laughing at some of them and what she had to ask.

After that she said I am approving you today, and she will put it through either tonight or tomorrow.

I am patiently waiting for the text/ email update from USCIS

I will answer any questions if you have them

So on a whim I checked the status on USCIS......."  On January 30, 2018, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.  "  We are so happy.  No e-mail or text, but so glad we checked the website.  When I looked last night it had no update.

My online status has changed to New Card Being Produced for the i485, so now it’s a waiting game for the GC to come

nice - you will have the card within 7-10 days. hopefully you won't have any mistakes on it like we did and we're renewing now

I’m still amazed that I was approved yesterday, I was expecting the 120 day decision letter

Also now that the 485 was approved, should the i130 that my usc wife filled in been approved, there’s been no change on that

485 will never be approved without an underlying petition which is either 360, 130 or 140. so I-130 must have been approved at the same time but that case tracker is not in a hurry! :)

Got notice that my I-485 was approved on Wednesday!!

Congrats!

Had they changed your on line status? I just checked today and mine has been changed to "Interview was completed and my case must be reviewed" which i am disappointed about because I'm thinking, why bother updating with that status if you're about to approve me?

Just curious if they did that with you as I'm seeking some comfort lol

Starting to stress out a little as we weren't told anything after the interview other than it was over and they need to review the case. We had lots of pictures and other stuff but the IO didn't ask to see any of it, so I'll be a bit annoyed if they write back with an RFE as I had it all with me on interview day!

Ah well!

Definitely more concerned now then!
