A number???

Hi, I'm filing for an I-130 and it asks if my husband (beneficiary) has an A number. He has never been in the US however we filed for an I129-F (fiance) in the past and it was denied, but on our old NOA and only on our NOA there is what seems to be an A number (starts with an A then 9 numbers). Should I put this? It was never on any other paper we received and like I said he's never been in the US. Thanks.

You would input NONE for your husband's A#.

 

As for yourself, if you're a naturalized citizen, there's an A# on the certificate.

 

On our I-130, my husband input his A# obtained from his Certificate of Naturalization and for myself (beneficiary), we put NONE.

Case recently approved.

Although you received an NOA in the past, the application was denied and no visa was issued. If your husband never had a visa to the USA then you would input NONE on the I-130.

 

Per USCIS website:

Alien Registration Number ("A" Number) or Alien Number

A unique seven-, eight- or nine-digit number assigned to a non-citizen at the time his or her A-file is created. The 9-digit U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services number listed on the front of Permanent Resident Cards (Form I-551) issued after May 10, 2010, is the same as the Alien Registration Number. The A-number can also be found on the back of these Permanent Resident Cards.
