OMG... I sent my package to suite 200 instead of 100

Hi guys,

I just confirmation that my mail was delivered to NVC suite 200, which is what my welcome letter said.  I call NVC to confirm and they told me that it was suite 100 but not to worry because they should get it soon but soon to the rep was about a month or so.  I'm so upset, he suggested I resend the package instead of waiting and stated that is their fault for having the wrong address on the welcome letter.  Has this happened to anyone else? please tell me what to do ??

The address on the welcome letter was simply part of their signature which was probably the department that is responsible for correspondence but there was no indication that your documents should be mailed to Suite 200 in the welcome letter unless they've changed it in the last month.

Did you include the required cover sheet  with the bar code - the one that states "you MUST RETURN THIS COVER SHEET with the Petitioner's completed..."?  This sheet has the mailing instructions with the correct address as well as the nvc website: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_documents.html

If you did include the cover sheet, I'm sure they'll simply send it via interoffice mail to the correct suite.  I would suggest keep calling NVC to check document receipt and scan date.  Sending a duplicate submission could potentially result in an erroneous checklist (since we all know how NVC keeps making mistakes).

Don't stress too much since the barcode will tie your documents to your case :)  Hope it goes well!

Thanks,  I just spoke with another rep and she said it should be fine since the cover page is the first thing that they will see when they open the package it will get send across the hall to them.  I asked if that would take long and she said they open their incoming mail everyday so they should have it by the end of the week :)
