Same here. I overloaded our application with evidences from our marriage, joint lease, bank accts., etc and yet, got a case ready to be scheduled for an interview. Fret not, it is part of the normal process as they want to verify all info as correct and complete and the marriage isn't a sham one. At least you have a case update online and that's a good sign. ^_^

Current timeline:

July 2019 - filed I-751

August 2020 - filed N400

Sept. 2020 - i-751 status "Case Was Transferred to a New Office". Transferred to NBC.

April 12, 2021 - N400 interview in LA passed (with a pending i-751)

May 20, 2021 - I-751 status changed to Approved and N400 status changed to Oath Will Be Scheduled. 🤩

May 21, 2021 - received a call and email from USCIS Los Angeles with my NOA with my oath schedule.

May 28, 2021 - oath taking schedule in USCIS DTLA office. 😍

From what I've read in this forum, front loading an AOS application with a lot of evidence is no guarantee that they won't still require an interview. I don't think you need to panic. There might not be anything specific within your application that triggered an interview. To prepare, I would read the guides and some of the threads that describe the interview process.

On the plus side, I've heard that having an interview for AOS some times lowers the chances that you'll be required to have an interview for when you need to Remove conditions on your green card. Not 100% sure on this but it would make some sense.

Marriage: 2014-02-23 - Colombia    ROC interview/completed: 2018-08-16 - Albuquerque
CR1 started : 2014-06-06           N400 started: 2018-04-24
CR1 completed/POE : 2015-07-13     N400 interview: 2018-08-16 - Albuquerque
ROC started : 2017-04-14 CSC     Oath ceremony: 2018-09-24 – Santa Fe

I have been waiting for an interview since January 25th 2016. Its been more than a year a few months now. I have been to info pass appointment and told me that there is nothing wrong with my application and that we are just waiting for a date for the interview. In the meantime they encouraged me to travel and work using my AP/EAD combo card. Thoughts?
