Hello Guys,

Good day!

I have some few clarifications in regards to the process of K1 visa after NOA2. Here are my questions below:

1. I am beneficiary, should the petitioner send the original copy of NOA2? Am I going to need that as one of the requirements?

2. Will the petitioner receive a hard copy of NVC with case #? Does the beneficiary will need an original copy of NVC? Who will send that to beneficiary? (I am sorry I am just bit confused with this as from what I read in some forums they said that they receive the NVC letter late or worst they never receive it.)

3. Is there any documents that I should anticipate to receive via mail? If so, what are those?

4. I have read that the USEM changed the rules, they are requiring the beneficiary to get fresh copy CENOMAR as per request, is that true? If so, when is the best time to get CENOMAR? or I will just copy of CENOMAR when they'll ask me to do so.

5. I have changed name in BC. Should I acquire 2 copies of CENOMAR that reflect my two names with each copy?

6. My fiance have already reserved a venue. I know it's too early but the venue require 6 months advance reservation. And he will going here in PH on August hoping that he'll fly back with me. Is 1 month and 26 days is enough time to prepare for wedding? Our plan is simple wedding not a civil wedding.

7. We have already got approval of NOA2, do you think will I able to get visa before August?

Your help guys will be very much appreciated!! ♥♥♥

Thank you so much in advance!!

hello there, I have the same question as you do, but I will answer some question of yours that I could. I am the Petitioner and I am based here in California and my fiance, he is in the Philippines...Will the petitioner receive a hard copy of NVC with case #? YES, I did receive a letter from NVC here In California saying that my fiance petition is approved and it has the Case # and his name and my name and it says there that they will contact my fiancee when they are ready to process his petition. My question is how are they going to deliver it to him Manila, same like your question, is it through email? text? or Mail to the house address. YOU ARE RIGHT, some forum says that no need to wait and just schedule an interview, and some do say also that it never gets received. Supposedly it takes 6 months to the least for the whole process to be completed. I filed mine on January 10, 2017. Hopefully more people will answer this post so we can know more.

1) No, he should send you a copy. He needs to hang on to the original for your future AOS application.

2) Petitioner will receive the hardcopy. The beneficiary doesn't need the paper, just the case number.

3-5) Country specific

6) Depends on your expectations.

7) Possibly/probably

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.
