Found my wedding dress at Ross Dress For Less. The retail price was $90 but it was on sale for $30. It wasn't the traditional wedding dress, but my gorgeous husband loved it on me. That's all that mattered to me. :D

I bought my dress. Since it was my 2nd marriage i didnt want to go with a white dress, ivory looks awful on me. Gary's fav color is green so i found an empire waist dress in sea foam green, i loved it!! It was very comfy and the price wasnt bad either. A pic of it is in our profile.

I was originally going to have my dress made. It was going to be a dress reflecting my love of history and historical reinactment (trust me, it was going to be awesome). My friend who is an expert seamstress told me to go try on various dresses to see what would flatter me, and while I was in the shop we found a dress that I just fell in love with. It cost a pretty penny, but when we went to price fabrics that we would have needed to make the dress I was envisioning it would have cost the same if not more. It was one of the few things at our wedding we paid full price for, and might I just say that I looked fabulous. ;)

KarenCee,

I got my dress at Ross too!! I spent ALL DAY shopping and it was the last dress at the last store that day. My friends and I didn't even think we'd find a dress there - but we sure did and I love it. It's not traditional (but neither is our wedding). It's ivory and lace and fits my body very well ;)

Mine wasn't traditional...I'm not a traditional kind of person. Besides, we married outside and it was hot. I love my dress...it was marked down to $30 from $90. Gotta love Ross!

I went to several different places to look at dresses. The problem was that all of the dresses I really liked were strapless, and I did not want a strapless dress. I finally found my dress at a bridal warehouse, and had a chiffon shrug (which is kind of like a little jacket) made by a seamstress to go over it. It looks like it was made with the dress.
