I'm not sure my husband has the Costa Rican birth certificate and that's the only one he knows of it's two pages long so I'm assuming that's the correct one since it's long

Ok great, seems like you're good then. :-) hope you get your cc this week. :-)

Yes. Spoke with NVC when I got other Birth Certificate. See she was born in a Masaya Nicaragua, and bc was from Masaya and needed to be from capital Managua. Got it corrected and they sent it on to Interview.

Thanks for sharing this. Sorry you had to go through that. Hopefully this will help others from Nicaragua. :-)

Previously on my case: Scan Date of April 11, Checklist due to missing police certificate, a police certificate that has to be (and was) requested through the US Consulate in my country, then sent to the NVC, then sent back after case complete.

Spoke to the NVC on Friday who told me that the consulate doesn't actually have to send the police certificate to them, and as such my waiting period PROBABLY doesn't get reset. So I might be lucky and get a Case Complete fairly soon.

Good luck

got a checklist 2 days after CC, told us to bring W-2 for 2016 tax return to the interview, we both work in Hong Kong so we don't have that.... now status is back to "submit requested documents" and "AOS" showed up again... 😣 but the checklist said they will still schedule out interview so I guess no need to worry too much...?  just hope we receive the interview date soon next week!

AOS would show up as soon as the NVC transfers your file to respective embassy/consulate but the Status would not go back to 'submit requested documents'. It would be either 'at nvc' or 'in transit' or 'ready' or 'at your interview city name'. I suggest you call NVC and get more info.

Finally CC!!! Thanks God! I don't know what to do with all of this happiness and excitement! I decided to check CEAC website thinking it wouldn't change since over the weekend still nothing but it did!!

Scan Date: April 20

CC: June 26

@JBMG I'm trying to update my info on the spreadsheet but the submit button on the form doesn't work. Will try later on a computer rather than my mobile.

Don't stress yourself..stay calm and call them. Status can be confusing some times so it's better to check with NVC and know the correct details. Let's stay positive 👍🏻

Case complete as per NVC call center. Scan date April 28 / review date June 21st / case complete June 23rd. I'm seeing a few people have gotten checklists after CC so let's wait and see :/

I added my info to the spreadsheet but I don't know if I did it correctly.

Congrats!! :)  thank you for adding yourself to the spreadsheet.

Now you can head over to the following forum where we're waiting for our interview dates. ;)

Hello, you've made it to 8+ weeks, click on the following links to check your IR-1/CR-1 visa case status:

Check My Visa Application Status

DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application

If it says "At NVC" and your AOS information is missing.. Then you most likely have a completed case (CC)... Please call the NVC to confirm.

See Example

I've discovered that the processing times may depend on the country you come from. So on our spreadsheet, sort by interview city and see how long cases from your country took to get their CC's.

If your status still reads "Action required: Submit requested documents", you can call the NVC to ask if your case is under review. But honestly, I don't see how this really makes a difference as some people stay in review for 1 day whereas others 14 days+.. And the NVC doesn't always tell you if you're under review.. I would start calling the NVC after normal processing time for your country or after 9 weeks, whatever is later..

Please update the NVC Case Status Spread Sheet - 2017  with your latest status.

  • If you have not received a CC or you are not under review, update your notes.
    • "June 26 - Morning - Called, still not under review"  (please put date first in your notes).

Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire.

If you have lost your questionnaire, you can redo it, I'll delete the duplication.

Sure thing. Hope you get your CC very soon. Still ok on timing as they haven't released August interview dates. Normally they start at the end of the month, slowing down after first 2 weeks of the month.. So if you can get your CC before then, you could very well have an August interview date. We're 40 waiting for an interview date.
