Many congratulations to all the ccs and interviews received this last days! Feels good to see all the people that started this journey almost together are moving almost at the same time and getting to the final step of this long long process!! Hope a smooth interview for everyone!

in other news, following my son's Checklist of missing affidavit of support, his case went under supervisor review and after two weeks they couldn't find the file so I had to send the financial evidence all over again, so we have a new scan date of June 21st for him, I received an email stating that my case will move to schedule appointment without my son's case being complete but it seems like it was just to calm down my anxiety because reps keep telling me over the phone that my case is still pending until my son's case finishes his review, oh well I gave up with the calls and the inquirys it will be when it has to be...

Ok, that really sucks. Are you in contact with a supervisor? If so, I would reach out to them in 2 weeks, ask if they can pull that document for you to get a cc. I guess it's not possible to ask for an expedited review? Really sorry you're having to go through this. Stay strong.

What is "Review Department"? I saw "No review" on spreed Sheet file. What does that mean? Because My mother's NVC status is "Review in process". They mentioned they are reviewing DS 261 info. I mean agent's email and address form.

Yes, it's read only because if I gave you and everyone access, someone could hack it or accidentally delete it, or change other people's information. :)

If you want to add yourself, please visit the following, this will update the spreadsheet with your info.

NVC Case Status Questionnaire -  2017

NVC Case Status Spread Sheet -  2017 (save this link in your browser)

VERY IMPORTANT: please keep your confirmation email from "google forms" to edit your status as your case moves along.. Yes, You CAN bookmark the questionnaire link but only after opening it up via email. I have no access to resend your original questionnaire to you. Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire

OH yeah! Sorry, for that misunderstanding.. I did add you on our old spreadsheet. :) But we've updated to the new spreadsheet since early May. You and 3 others are still remaining from the old one.. I sent out multiple requests and tagged everyone several times.. But most likely my requests got lost in the all the VJ updates. You can see on a separate tab in the following link that 34 people have moved over to the new spreadsheet.

Here is the old spreadsheet..

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LDKuXXtb5qibnkMzfFnXkvhBmAmEuwPkak1EQwYcglY/edit#gid=0

Name Scan Date
Karen & Carlos 4/14/2017
ameeenta 4/17/2017
cake68 4/28/2017
Iffat Nizu 4/28/2017

Tagging the others.. hopefully they'll want to also join us on the new spreadsheet.. Last time I'll ask. :) Promise.

@Karen & Carlos @ameeenta @cake68

Thanks, JBMG

got a checklist 2 days after CC, told us to bring W-2 for 2016 tax return to the interview, we both work in Hong Kong so we don't have that.... now status is back to "submit requested documents" and "AOS" showed up again... 😣 but the checklist said they will still schedule out interview so I guess no need to worry too much...?  just hope we receive the interview date soon next week!

Since you're both in hong kong, I'm assuming you have a joint-sponsor or are using assets?

HI, thank you for adding yourself to the spreadsheet. Looks like you have 2 cases.

Regarding your questions, "no review" on the spreadsheet simply means that they didn't know the day their case went "under review". Sometimes when we call the NVC, they inform us if our case goes under review.. Most of the time they don't...  This is why you don't see a lot of dates in that column filed out.. Also, I advise not to call before 9 weeks as that's the average processing time..

Hello JBMG!

Since you're the expert, do you see a correlation between the number of days in review and the NVC's feedback? Meaning, does a longer review time mean there is likely going to be a checklist and vice versa? Thanks!

I will add myself to your spreadsheet shortly.

No, we can't really determine anything based on how long we end up in the review dept.. Because of this, i've encouraged people to not even call before 9 weeks as that remains the average processing time.. As you can see below.. You can be in the review dept for 1 day or over 30 days...

Here are cases with NO checklists.

Yes. Spoke with NVC when I got other Birth Certificate. See she was born in a Masaya Nicaragua, and bc was from Masaya and needed to be from capital Managua. Got it corrected and they sent it on to Interview.

Previously on my case: Scan Date of April 11, Checklist due to missing police certificate, a police certificate that has to be (and was) requested through the US Consulate in my country, then sent to the NVC, then sent back after case complete.

Spoke to the NVC on Friday who told me that the consulate doesn't actually have to send the police certificate to them, and as such my waiting period PROBABLY doesn't get reset. So I might be lucky and get a Case Complete fairly soon.
