Ok so last night we received a checklist to bring the police certificate to the interview. Mexico has me confused bc on the website it says only available for people who lived in Mexico at age 18 and older and for more than 6months.

But my husband has been here in the US since he was 17 and never left. Just dont see the point of requesting something thats not available.

Oh and btw no interview yet but they still havent told me they finished scheduling. She only told to check later or next week.

Well i guess because he's still a Mexican citizen.. possible he could have a record by simply visiting there.. doesn't sound fair but heck this entire process isn't fair.... Feel sorry for those that aren't married to a spouse having to wait 20+ years to get a visa to move the US...  Fortunately, you can just bring your police certificate to the interview without having to resubmit to the NVC. phew..  hopefully you'll get your interview date soon.

He has no record over there when he came in 2008 he never left from here. And I've been with since 2009.

That's the only plus side that he take it to his interview. And hopefully we get a date soon bc Im the going crazy with this whole process lol

You and me both. WE're all over this.. Crazy because the USCIS and the NVC are providing a service that we're paying good money for.. They're funded by us.... Yet, they have such a huge backlog.. Def time for them to hire some more employees....  I think they'll still be quite profitable...

Exactly. I called my sister in law to see if she can find out what we have to do from here in the US.. Yes totally agree with you. The whole process is nothing but money and more money lol. But the def should hire more people and bring the process time down.

i don't get it... why some get processed at 8 weeks while others at 9,, and a few cases such as yours at 9+ weeks.. makes no sense...  I wonder if they have processors dedicated to certain countries.. so for example, popular ones where they receive many applications, many people are trained on them.. while the countries where they don't get many applicants from, fewer people are trained to review them... What really sucks is that this is your 2nd scan date.. ugh.. And you've started the process in 2010!!! wow.. hopefully you'll get a CC very soon.

The way I've come to rationalize these differences is this: Say they received 30 cases on April 1st (Random date just for this example), and when finally those cases from that scan date come the front of the line to be reviewed they are assigned to agents A, B, C. But turns out agent B is backed up on some cases from previous scan dates whiles agents A and C are up to date. All three agents keep working on and agent A keep its pace and thank God gives awesome news to some people of having 8 weeks from SD to CC, while agent B is a little behind and gets its cases in 9-10 weeks but still under the 11, while agent C received some difficult cases that take him/her some extra time and gives 10 weeks from SD to CC.

So on there are million reasons why different agents could be taken a little longer but still keeping their cases under 11 weeks.

Good afternoon all,

Just called NVC and was informed that documents are in review. All my fingers and toes are crossed hoping that all is good. Scan date April 18

That's great news. Maybe you will have a cc by end of the day. :-) Thank you for already updating the spreadsheet.

My husband, and I nearly had heart attacks when we saw the AOS disappear, and the file Say NVC.  We never understood the processing order at the NVC it is a truly random process. We were expecting our case to complete a few weeks from now. We hope that everyone will get their case complete soon.  Best Wishes...

Thanks,

Phadrea
