so for example i google los angeles senators office?

They are not local like congress (which you can also ask) they are state reps. Below are websites for California:

I do not know if my senators office helped lower my my wait time. He, however, did say it would take 8 weeks when no one else was saying anything other than 11. Our SC was April 12 and CC 5/30. 6weeks and 6days, If you are past 8 i would urge you to contact your rep at the very least they can get you new information like mine did.

If you don't mind me asking, what compelled you to contact the senators office at only 6 weeks out?  Well, almost 7 weeks actually.  Just a shot in the dark?

Good information to know.  You're right too, if anything it will at least ruffle some feathers.

I was in contact with them in during the USCIS stage and after it arrived at the NCV I emailed them asking if they are able to continue following our case. I think since we are seeing 7 week CC people should try it now if they are 9+ at least for a status.

I am nearly beyond words. I woke up today spammed with messages from my wife.

WE HAVE AN INTERVIEW DATE!!!

I couldn't believe it , but sure enough we got the email at 1am PST  (P4) July 18th!!!

I called and confirmed CC 5/30 !!! One day shy of 7 weeks!!!

So not only did I get CC I got an interview, I can not believe this ..... its not real!

Congratulations!  Maybe they are expediting the Swedes!!  So your interview is the 18th in Stockholm?  That is the embassy my husband is going to.  I am praying we get a date just as quickly as you... We were approved yesterday (6/1/2017)

However, It is funny how I too contacted my state representative when our I130 was in the USCIS stage... Perhaps that could be our correlation, or the fact that we have Sweden in common... Who knows...??

Look like this's a real check list. Do you still remember what kind of documents you submit in the packet? Did you write down the list of documents when you send to NVC? If yes, you need to call NVC ASAP.

WOW!  Great to see some April scan dates already receiving CC's!!! :)  Still have 8 cases from March waiting for a CC but since we have some April CC's. Def time to start checking your NVC status. My suggestion is start looking at 8 weeks, calling NVC at 9 weeks if no CC..

FYI!

With several March cases, I saw people receiving their checklists via email days, if not a week or more before CC's were given with similar dates..  And sometimes they were fake checklists..

Finally, your case could be under review but the NVC may not tell you so.. So don't get discouraged.. Important date is your CC. :)

Click on the following links to check your IR-1/CR-1 visa case status:

Check My Visa Application Status

DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application

If it says "At NVC" and your AOS information is missing.. Then you most likely have a completed case (CC)... Please call the NVC to confirm.

See Example

If your status still reads "Action required: Submit requested documents", you can call the NVC to ask if your case is under review.

Please update the NVC Case Status Spread Sheet -  2017  with your latest status.. If adding a note, please put your date first. For example: "June 6 - Morning - Called, still not under review"

Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire.

If you have lost your questionnaire, you can redo it, I'll delete the duplication.
