I remember a post here a few weeks ago where their senator's office informed them NVC was working overtime for the cases to speed up. If thats any reason for the CC time to from 11weeks to 9 weeks, I believe it'll only go down from here to 8.5 weeks and eventually 8 weeks.

I haven't dug up any data for proper comparison too see if the avg CC date a month or two ago was 10 or 11 weeks but it just gives me hope seeing one couple get CC in 8 weeks!

6 Weeks down, 2-4 more to go :(

I remember several February scan dates were getting their CC's at just under 11 weeks.. But nobody was collecting their scan dates on a spreadsheet.. so it's hard to know for sure if they're getting faster.

Thank you for joining us on the new spreadsheet. Why did they reject your expedite request? What was your reasoning for an expedite? Can you provide that detail on your questionnaire. This will help others who are considering an expedite request.

My scan date is April 04 2017

Hi Jacqueline76 !! Welcome. :)

Have you had a chance to look at the spreadsheet with everyone's scan dates? Open to all NVC scan dates in 2017 (mail, email, CEAC upload)

NVC Case Status Spread Sheet -  2017 (save this link in your browser)

Please visit the following, this will update the spreadsheet with your info.

NVC Case Status Questionnaire -  2017

VERY IMPORTANT: please keep your confirmation email to edit your status as your case moves along.. Yes, You CAN bookmark the questionnaire link but only after opening it up via email. I have no access to resend your original questionnaire to you. Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire

If you lost your questionnaire, you can redo it, I'll delete the duplication.

Thank you, JBMG

Our child had a surgery coming up. We sent in expedite request so I could join the wife and the kid for surgery but it was turned down :| We sent in medical proof etc but its a mystery how it works. I've seen couples get expedited caz they want to spend the christmas together but this might vary from embassy to embassy. perhaps depending on how many cases they have to handle etc.

We gave up on expedite as we're almost there now anyway.

I've added expedite description to the spreadsheet now.

Yep that was me. I emailed him back and he confirmed they are working to get it down to 8. It seems like they are.

Hey if you dont mind me asking what was your reason you gave them?

Well I just gave it a try but I started of by saying that i was requesting an expedite due to the long wait time that exceeded 6 months during the uscis stage. Then i mentioned that based on my calculation my husband interview will be schedule around september making it impossible for me to travel.
