Aww, those poor illegals. :(

Good for them on punishing all the legal citizens/residents just in case some illegal got caught. They're teaching those kids a valuable lesson on how the left deal with these matters.

The unhinged left gets stranger by the second. As to the comment of Umka36. Great point. How will an illegal leave the country (legally)

Should be simple..

US passport

or

Foreign passport w/stamp or document showing right to be in US

Or else not going.

But that's too logical. Must inject politics into non political schools trips. Hope these kids learn a valuable lesson about the lefts stupidity here.

Besides the issue of getting back into the US, can an undocumented individual even get into Canada without the proper travel document? To me the school district is making it political issue when it shouldn't be.

It's all Trump's fault.  Seems like another means to indoctrinate students with a Leftist education.

Try boarding a plane to a furin country  or crossing a border out of this country and get back with me on what you lernt

There is no passport control on the way out. The airlines will check your passport for identification and visas for the destination country. There is no USCIS check on the way out.

I know right.  No requirement they just check your passport and visa 🤣

Well I mean, other countries tend to want to see your passport (they tend to have laws too regarding entry of foreigners). Or the US cooperates with other countries and puts that information into a shared system for the receiving country to have so they know who is on the plane. Either way, every time I've traveled by air to Canada I've had to show my Canadian passport (formerly US passport + Canadian PR card) at the start of my flight (or even at the start of connecting flights that wind up in Canada).

Either way, if it's a passport required to be shown on exit it's likely not the USCIS wanting it. Though that part was never argued, even though added to a prior rebuttal by another poster.

They check your ID and visa to the country of destination. The airlines don't check your immigration status. Not in the US at least. There is no USCIS passport control on the way out.

So in other words if you are here illegally  and have no documetion, you can't leave the country legally.

I am glad we made a 360 dag turn and got this headed in the right direction
