Okay I get that. Cool.

I checked the electronic center website and it says our petition is ready at the embassy at this time. Will it be a week or so that they'll be sending my Fiance her checklist of things to get? Aka packet 3? She's in Greece btw.

I repeat: "It's country specific so you would need to ask in the regionals subforum so you can get answers from people who went through it at the same embassy as your fiancé."

I have a few questions as well. Is the DS-160 filled out by the beneficiary? (I'm presuming it is.) Also, how does one go about obtaining a bank statement from an officer of the bank?

Hello!
When we got our bank statement we literally just went to the bank, explained ourselves and asked exactly for what the paper says. They wrote a letter stating every information needed, signed and stamp.

Now about the DS-160, I am the beneficiary and did it myself to skip trouble. All questions will be about the beneficiary so yes, it should be filled out by the beneficiary.

Well yes; form DS-160 is what's used to not only pay for your visa fees; but also, schedule an appointment if I'm not mistaken. Since they prefer payment in USD, you could potentially fill it out with/for her and use information from your own bank statements (Routing Numbers, Account Numbers. etc) to pay for it. I plan on doing the same thing for my Fiance.

As for the Bank Statements, I'm not too sure about that bud. What country is your Beneficiary from?

The DS-160 is the application for the K-1 visa. The foreigner is the one who applies for the visa. The US citizen only filed the i-129f petition.

The USC can still help the foreigner fill out the DS-160, but the foreigner needs to read through it all and sign it.

Ah, I see. I was planning on just filling it out with her over the phone or something. She's from S.Korea.

Ah, I see. Thank you for the response! I wasn't sure how they would be able to tell it was from an officer but I imagine the bank themselves know.

Hello everyone! Here's what we got from our lawyer after petition has been approved, I'm curious is this what all petitioners must send to NVC for getting case number?

1. 3 recent pay-stubs for petitioner

2. 2016 W2s for patitioner

3. 2016 Income tax returns for petitioner
