POE Soon - What to Bring?

Hi all,

 

i will be going through POE in Dublin, Ireland within the next few weeks and just want to double check what I need to bring with me:

 

1 - passport including visa (essential)

2 - sealed visa pack from embassy (essential)

3 - X-ray disk (essential)

4 - copies of I-130/NVC submissions files/documents (not essential but good to have)

5 - wife (essential!)

 

If I am missing anything please let me know.

Port of Entry , Dublin? 

 

Are you coming to the USA?   Port of entry is somewhere in the USA from someone coming from another country

N-400  APPLIED FOR CITIZENSHIP:    Interview will be Houston Tx office.

Mailed:  11/13/2023

Delivered to USCIS Lock Box:  11/15/2023

Credit Card payment processed:  11-16-2023

Received Receipt #   via Text:  11-17-2023

I-797C Receipt received:  11-27-2023

Biometrics  will be reused per letter: 11-27-2023

 

 

 

 

 

FILED  AOS FROM AN EXPIRED VISITORS VISA:

 

Sent: 9/12/16: I-130 + I-485 + I-765 (USPS)

Delivered: Sept. 15th 2016 to Chicago Lock Box

Interview Feb  21st, 2018 for I-485

Interview  May 13th, 2019 for I-130 Stokes interview ( 2 minutes)

NOID issued May 17th 2019

June 5th,2019   USCIS received my response on the  NOID// Addressed the NOID myself, No lawyer ever used in case.

July 1st, 2019  10 YEAR GREEN CARD APPROVED

July 5th, 2019   Approval letters for I-130 & I-485 received in the USPS  mail.

July 11th 2019   Green Card in Hand

Yes. Dublin in Ireland. There are various airports around the world that have US preclearance - you clear US customs and immigration before you get on the flight to the US.

 

And to OP, yes that list looks fine.

What are they pre-clearing you for?  What is their process for clearing you?

Me neither but I just read this. 'Today, CBP has more than 600 law enforcement officers and agriculture specialists stationed at 15 air Preclearance locations in 6 countries: Dublin and Shannon in Ireland; Aruba; Freeport and Nassau in The Bahamas; Bermuda; Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; and Calgary, Toronto, Edmonton, Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, and Winnipeg in Canada. CBP also staffs a Pre-inspection facility for passenger/vehicle ferry traffic to the U.S. in Victoria, Canada.'

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

It's just customs and immigration - same process as usual, but happens before you fly rather than after. On arrival in the US your gate is in the domestic part of the airport and can just grab your bag and go.
