If I want Italian, French or Greek dressing, how do I go about ordering it without offending anyone?

Go for a naked salad or a vinaigrette, it's healthier.

Oh and what about Kung Fu? Had to get Carradine to act the main character.

He's dead now though. Karma serves the best revenge.

Yet you're on this board daily making numerous posts expressing your opinions. You either do care or simply do not get enough attention at home.

I've conceded that people on the internet have their own opinions and they're entitled to them, not to mention entitled to caring about my opinions just as I'm entitled not to give a fig about theirs. Although I'd caution against making this thread about me.

I think we've already exhausted that subject in just a couple posts.

Older generation seems rather clueless about western politics whereas the 2nd gen and after understand and likely relay everything.

I never ate McDonald's in the US but in Canada it's not so bad. Toss the bun aside and just eat the patty. I much prefer my own burgers but when traveling as we do relatively often..

They put too much salt on their burgers in Ontario.

I've never understood the racist connection with the word "Oriental".

Neither does this "Oriental American"

Yo bro, read my comment. Not racist, just ignorant. Remember a friend asking if Japanese used to bind their feet-no dumbo, those are tabi you saw in the film. Ughhh

It is ignorant to call someone from the East from the East?  Of course this is relative to Europe where all those bad bad people live or lived.  Heck to someone living in Japan, South Korea, China, etc., those of us from the US are Orientals.  I am fine with that.

From your link: And this is the definition of the word Oriental I have always know as well.

Quote

As an Oriental, I am bemused. Apparently Asians are supposed to feel demeaned if someone refers to us as Orientals. But good luck finding a single Asian American who has ever had the word spat at them in anger. Most Asian Americans have had racist epithets hurled at them at one time or another: Chink, slant eye, ######, Nip, zipperhead. But Oriental isn’t in the canon.

And why should it be? Literally, it means of the Orient or of the East, as opposed to of the Occident or of the West. Last I checked, geographic origin is not a slur. If it were, it would be wrong to label people from Mississippi as Southerners.

It stinks not being able to get anything but a well done burger in Canada. One of the first times I went to visit my wife in Ontario we went to a burger place and I asked for my burger to be cooked medium rare, the waitress looked at me with a confused look on her face. My wife interjected and said only well done in Canada.
