Hello,

This is my first post here as I'm a newbie from Australia! I appreciate all the info already here but I just have a few questions that I need some clarification to feel a bit more at ease. Any information is greatly appreciated

1. When filling out the DS-260 can the photo I used for the first application be the same or does it need to be a different one? Nothing has a really changed besides a haircut (the photo was taken in October)

2.  Meeting the work experience/education requirements: This one is tough for me because I'm confused of where I fall into. I fully understand that I don't exactly qualify under work experience (I have a diploma in education, but have been working for over 8 years and I have work experience  in between while studying but don't think that matters). Obviously I have graduated high school in Australia...do I enter under education when they ask what's my highest form of education?(when they ask in the interview for example). I'm just feeling a little bit stressed.

Thank you!

Did you win the lottery ? I am not sure if a got you but you should fill all the information you have, your works and your education because this is not a job search. this more like to know about you. If you have a Hight school diploma, then your write it down and say ot in an interview.

If you have a high school diploma then that qualifies you in terms of eligibility, but you should fill in the work experience questions anyway. I don't recall a photo being submitted with the online DS260 but if it is the requirement is always not more than 6 months old.

So, what happens after you filled out the forms? Do you schedule an appointment or do have to wait for the consular center to get back to you?

thanks

Interviews are assigned in order of case number by KCC. You won't hear anything back until about 6-8 weeks before your interview has been scheduled, when you'll get the details. You can follow the visa bulletin to see when your number will be current - "current" means you are now eligible for interview. Make sure you print out your confirmation page and/or save a copy, because it will be replaced by the interview notification letter in due course.
