In my county they still show me as being married. None of the dozens of attorneys in my area will help me with the divorce nor annullment. Thats where ny problem stems from. I have been everything from we don't deal with Ghana to you have to go back there and physically petition for your divorce. So i am stuck in a marriage to a guy who is a greencard scammer.

You don't  have to go to Ghana to file a divorce petition. If you don't have kids with him then go to the Court get the form to file for divorce and you can file the divorce petition. It's  very simple.

OP,

Don't go to back there.  First, it's an unnecessary expense. But more importantly, it could be a safety issue for you.  If he were to find out that you are coming, who knows what he might to do (to you) since he knows the jig is up and won't be getting a visa.

You are making this much harder than it is.  Any divorce lawyer just needs to file a divorce petition in your local court.  They will follow the procedure for unknown whereabouts of the spouse.  And you will be divorced.

Had i applied for the cr1 i guess i would have had to make them accept the marriage but after all of this all i want is out. No one is willing to even listen. So i have planned to go back next year but was hoping someone had real and informative solutions. Trust me i have called everyone and emailed even more. It seems to me people in the USA take marriage to a Ghanaian as a joke thanks to the elevation of romance scammers in that particular area. Oh well thanks for your help.

No. You would not have had to "make them" accept the marriage. It is either legit with a marriage certificate or it is not.
You do not make USCIS accept anything. Do not go back. There are many Ghanaian couples here, some happy and some
divorced in the simple way described to you here.
There must be something else the way you describe the marriage to the many lawyers who refuse to accept your case.
You can post in the Sub-Saharan forum to hear it straight from others who were married to men from Ghana and that they

did not have to return to Ghana nor did they even need a lawyer to divorce. Go to the court house and start from there without

giving them confusing details. You simple ask what is the procedure for annulment or divorce from someone who I can't

locate abroad.

Also, maybe you can tell us how you found out it was a  scam?  It could help others avoid getting scammed.

I found out by following my intuition and things weren't adding up so i proposed a couple of different scenarios which did not include me immediately filing for his greencard and he went crazy. Got so mad so i decided to get in touch with his ex who he had been texting to have her come from canada to meet him here in Missouri once his " job " sent him here. I would not have believed mere words but thank to technology she sent me full screen shots of the conversations they had which started days after i married him. He also was asking her for money every month as he knew when she recieved her disability checks. Not sure if that helps but also there are tons of videos on romance and greencard scams along with marriage fraud videos. They are good at this and actually do it as their fulltime jobs. So sad.

Sadly common on VJ

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
