I married in Ghana in February of 2017. It took me almost a month to figure out this guy was scamming me for a greencard. Now i never filed because i found the proof that it's just greencard based and motivated. I am in the USA and I have tries everything i can think of to end this marriage short of going back to ghana to show all the proof i have that ending this marriage is best due to all the deception from day 1 and threats from him. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to end this from the USA?  I have contacted every international attorney within 100 miles of my home in Missouri.

What is the advice of the attorneys you have contacted ?
MO allows annulment due to fraud and if you can prove it then there should be no problem,
why not have a lawyer file for it ? Not understanding what the problem is.

July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

I think the OP is trying to find a lawyer who will do the divorce in Ghana, probably cant find anyone here that practices there... Not sure why the OP believes they have to file in Ghana. They need a local attny and the divorce is done in the US.

Divorcing a spouse with location unknown is totally doable. Just say you don't know where he is now....I mean you actually dont, you know what he tells you as of present. It will take more time than money.

Any marriage in another country counts as legal, unless it was a religious only ceremony and usually that is only a Muslim issue. You're married, you have a marriage cert from that country; don't assume otherwise and become a bigamist.

What did the Lawyers tell you? Just appoint a Divorce Lawyer in your State and get it done.

You married in Ghana so your marriage is valid here in the US also.
Simply get a divorce or try the annulment, you are making this harder than it is.
If you would have filed for a CR1 the marriage certificate you would have to include would have been accepted as you being married to

him so what makes you think you aren't married here now ?

In my county they still show me as being married. None of the dozens of attorneys in my area will help me with the divorce nor annullment. Thats where ny problem stems from. I have been everything from we don't deal with Ghana to you have to go back there and physically petition for your divorce. So i am stuck in a marriage to a guy who is a greencard scammer.

Had i applied for the cr1 i guess i would have had to make them accept the marriage but after all of this all i want is out. No one is willing to even listen. So i have planned to go back next year but was hoping someone had real and informative solutions. Trust me i have called everyone and emailed even more. It seems to me people in the USA take marriage to a Ghanaian as a joke thanks to the elevation of romance scammers in that particular area. Oh well thanks for your help.
