Today I applied for my N-400 under the 3 year status. Still nothing from California on the I-751

the interesting part is on "Next Steps: we will review your request for a data change. If needed, we will make the change"  Does anyone know what that means or received similar one?

 

 

I've searched this issue alot and the best explanation i can give you is that the case was transfered internally within the same sc or local office. I found out that sometimes approval follows next day, some other times it follows 2 weeks or a month later, but they are working on it and it depends on how far the case has being woked on then approval will follow depending on that. Name and date of birth updates do not mean that for the applicant. But it means something for the uscis and or the office and officer adjudicating the case

I got another update this morning from my uscis.gov online account.

Guys, do you watch Fow News this morning. DHS talked that there were 3,000 fraud of citizenship now and missing 30,000 fringerprint of database. Now, they went back fraud cases of 20-30 years ago to check and investigate. I think this is also one of the reason causing late processing of legal applications

I'm hoping for a little community help. I'm not entirely clear on what is meant by May filers. Does this mean you sent your initial ROC documents into USCIS in May of 2017? 

 

I received this in May 

 

And then this..

 

 

So am I a may 2017 Filer?

This means, they received your case and currently reviewing your it, "the case was received at my local office" is just an automated notification, it's not valid as long as you did not receive any mail letter from USCIS that they transferred you case to local office. I got exactly the same message before my approval yesterday.

I believe they have dedicated group who's processing these fraud citizenship.

Yes, you're May filer, if you filed to VSC then yes, you will get feedback in couple of weeks, but if you filed to CSC then you pretty much need to wait 5 months more since CSC office is backlog.

Arg! Yes I filed CSC. I guess they moved it to the Dallas office. We went in to get the I-551 stamp a couple of days ago and the officer was not optimistic of getting it within a year. I guess when I saw your May filing date I was hopeful I had misunderstood something.
