I'm now a little torn if I should go to the USCIS office tomorrow (which is a little far where i live, the one close to me didn't have any dates available).. My GC expires 07/03/2017 last year, so that means my gc extension letter is until 07/03/2018 (If still considering the 12 months validity, correct?) I am going to travel though between October-November, should I still go? And if I don't go, how do I cancel my appointment?

What should I do?

I would go if I were you, I dont trust USCIS timeline, they keep on changing their processing timeline out of no where, they don't have definite timeline, they will change it as long as they want for their own convenient.

Along with what Lemon said...

I think they are right. but you might also want to consider that they may turn you down once you get there and they may tell you that they are sending you a new I-797 notice which would make driving all the way out there a waste.

Can you maybe wait about 2 weeks for this notice and then maybe schedule another info pass if it never arrives?

Hello everyone, I just got my approval today and the status was updated to New Card Is Being Produced.

I received Request For Evidence on May 6, and resubmit the package on Jun 2. Exactly 10 days, i got my case approved. I wouldn't expect they could handle that fast!

Congrats, what did they ask for in the RFE

Hello Everyone,

I just saw this on USCIS webpage. Seems like they are extending the 12 months I-797 notices to 18 months due to current processing times. So everyone whose I-751 or I-829 is pending as of June 11, 2018 would be getting new notices with extended dates.

Well the RFE ask for a lot of things because I submitted very little evidence at the first time. They asked for

1. Tax return transcript issued by IRS

2. W2 statement showing the same residence address of my husband

3. And mortgage or lease agreement

4. Joint  bank account or joint credit card account and related statement

5. Any financial arrangement in the event of death I.e life insurance, deed or will

6. affidavits supports

I am VSC filer

a friend just sent me this screenshot showing her case was updated earlier today: name was updated.

the interesting part is on "Next Steps: we will review your request for a data change. If needed, we will make the change"  Does anyone know what that means or received similar one?
