Hello everyone,

I just got  notification that a new card is being produced. I am a VSC June filer (case received on June 8th 2017). The website so far updated only for the I-751 receipt (the first receipt number). I'll keep you posted if something else changes. My receipt number start with EAC17251XXXXX. I applied online for my N400 on June 5th (I am not sure if this triggered the acceptance). I also had an infopass scheduled for the 18th but at this point I won't need it. Good luck to every one.

what evidences did you send?

We sent A LOT OF documents, pretty similar to the list here for the I751 application. I don't know if we were randomly selected or they are just curious and want to see us...

Pretty painless and free to just get them online from the IRS

Usually they conduct interview for ROC if you had an interview waiver for your AOS, if you had an interviewer waiver for AOS then that is maybe the reason why they invited you for an interview for your ROC.

As of June 11, 2018, petitioners who file Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, or Form I-829, Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions on Permanent Resident Status, will receive a Form I-797 receipt notice that can be presented with their Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card, as evidence of continued status for 18 months past the expiration date on their Permanent Resident Card.

We are making the change from 12 to 18 months because current processing times for Form I-751 and Form I-829 have increased over the past year.

Additionally, we will issue new Form I-797 receipt notices to eligible conditional permanent residents whose Form I-751 or I-829 was still pending as of June 11, 2018. Those Form I-797 receipt notices will also serve as evidence of continued status for 18 months past the expiration date on petitioner’s Permanent Resident Card.

As a reminder, conditional permanent residents who plan to be outside of the United States for a year or more should apply for a reentry permit by filing Form I-131, Application for Travel Document, before leaving the country. Read more information on our Green Card webpage.

Guys!!

I was reading the news for USCIS. They updated the I-797 receipt ( extension letter) from 12 to 18 months!

And will issue new I-797 receipt, for those whose extension letter didn’t expire yet. So seems like additional 6 months without stamp, but the actual letter!

Here is the link:

Hi everyone,

Congrats on those who have already got approved!

I am asking for suggestions:

I applied on 05/30/2017. Went to the local office, they collected my expired GC and  stamped on my passport on 08/22/2017.

The stamp is going to expire on 08/22/2018 and I am travelling to Japan in 09/15/2018 and needs to apply for a travel visa 90 days ahead.

Also my driver licence is going to expire on 08/2018

Should I

1) wait until 08/22/2018  to get another stamp? ( but it might be too rush to apply for the Japan travel visa)

2) Or get another stamp now?

3) Or wait another month?

I don't know and I just feel so anxious as I have bought the flight tickets and also worried cannot come back. Thank you for your help!

I'm now a little torn if I should go to the USCIS office tomorrow (which is a little far where i live, the one close to me didn't have any dates available).. My GC expires 07/03/2017 last year, so that means my gc extension letter is until 07/03/2018 (If still considering the 12 months validity, correct?) I am going to travel though between October-November, should I still go? And if I don't go, how do I cancel my appointment?

What should I do?
