USCIS chooses to call in for an interview depends entirely on the facts of the case and the quality of the I-751 submission.

If the officer had doubts about your relationship and asked for extra evidence at that time – the agency may call you in for an interview just to have a thorough second look at your case.

If the documents you submitted seem too sparse or don’t really point to a shared life, with joint assets, shared financial obligations, and so forth, that might also give USCIS cause to interview. But then again I’ve seen divorce waiver approved and cases with very little evidence approved without an interview, so... 🤷🏻‍♂️🙎🏻‍♂️

You are good to file N400 on 5/22/2018👍🏼

Well after almost a year received today notice  that the USCIS has received your form and is currently processing !! ( Pic attached).

so i'm not sure what does this mean  ? was my form on hold the whole last year and just processed ? I did call USCIS and they said it's normal process and you form arrived to your local office and might ask for interview! is it normal to have an interview for the form I-797C ?

Also just wanna make sure when I suppose to file N400 ? 3 years form the day of marriage or 3 years from being green card holder ? I'm Resident since 8/22/15 as it's written in my expired Green card.

just as it was mentioned before, the online experience is pretty slick. I made sure to double, triple check our answers because online proofreading seems a little more difficult than on paper. You are limited to how many documents you can upload so Choose Wisely if you have several areas to upload evidence, such as birth certificates for children, proof of Child Support, photos versus written statements. You can always bring more evidence in for your interview.

We had an infopass appointment a couple weeks ago and spoke with the immigrations officer. He was very clear that the online form will get to that local office much more quickly than one that is mailed in.

as a side note, the online application will hold your draft for 30 days, and then update it each time you spend a significant amount of time on it, extending your expiration of your working application for 30 more days. *However* they are updating the site on May 19th. So any information that you have saved in the workable form will be lost if you do not get it sent by May 18th

Follow up question, when you upload the file online did you use jpeg or pdf file?

good question :-) the only reason why I say that it's a good question is because I discovered some of the files I was uploading as JPEG and couldn't upload multiple pages at once. Switched to PDF to the ones that had two or three pages per document and it worked like a charm. I think you're limited to  5 megabytes / file, and 5 files per section

No, you can file 3 months prior to the 3 year anniversary. That would be May 22nd, 2018.
