Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share that our ROC was approved on 4/30/18. We had filed at the VSC with a received date of 5/02/17. We had just been discussing about setting up the Infopass appointment to get a stamp when our case status online was finally updated. Just got our approval letter today in the mail so it took almost exactly a year for our case to be reviewed and approved. Hopefully this means that they'll be getting to the rest of the May filers soon (or at least the VSC filers).

Congratulations........

Hi May filers! My I751 just got approved today. Priority date was May 2, 2017. Filed with VSC. I was following this website for months and it really helped me to get through the long waiting time. So hang in there. Approvals are coming. Oh and by the way I applied for n400 in mid April and still waiting to hear back. So don’t worry and apply for citizenship even if you don’t have I751 approved. It doesn’t slow anything down.

Congratulations......

So... since we are VSC August 2017 and they aren’t quite there yet i guess we shouldn’t be anxious. but after they received the case at the local office on April 9, the silence is driving us nuts! 😰😣  any update today anyone? You guys are too quiet lately lol!

We are CSC filers, husband went up today to get his i551 stamp. His green card expires on the 24th this month. We tried to get a stamp 2 weeks ago, but there was a system-wide computer shut down.

He got the same IO that we got two weeks ago: super nice and helpful fellow. he spent 15 minutes talking to my husband. My husband asked him questions about processing times, local office in Portland, Oregon. Being a year into it already, the officer said it's about 6 to 9 more months. Then my husband mentioned that he filed for citizenship (last night)  and the officer said things would speed up, more like 6 months or sooner if our documents check out fine.

Now here's the kicker, after looking in his computer he takes my husband's passport, stamps it and seals it, and *then* has my husband record his finger print on both index fingers and have a front profile picture taken. Like a mini Biometrics appointment:ph34r:. Has anybody had this done during their i-551 stamp infopass appointment? just asking because I haven't heard of this being done with anybody else.

I've heard some get it over 30 days before expiration of their green card, But some have been rejected and told to come back when it's when then 30 days. I would suggest waiting to that 30 day threshold, especially if you're not traveling anytime soon.
